Triple Splashdown’s hitbox baffles me. I’ve had times where I take out people who looked out of AOE range, but also a time where the fist literally landed on someone (on my screen at least) without splatting them.
Splashdown almost feels like the right special for it if the brella wasn't made of actual paper.
Heyo! I might be the maker of one of the videos you saw earlier and upon receiving the kit I am actually very happy to say I am pushing this weapon in comp and I'm making gameplay videos on it :) it was 10x better then I expected and in a comp enviroment the weapon feels way better than solo
I was saying that the weapon itself isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. The kits are pretty bad for it tho. 😭
Okay. I think this kit is my favorite rainmaker kit ngl. Yes, it isn’t ideal, but it’s so FUN. Like splashdown is just perfect for it and synergizes so well. Also, LDE is a necessity for brella launching spam and toxic mist spam. Since the kit itself isn’t ideal, making lemonade out of lemons is the best tactic.
1. Never engage in a fight without a teammate near you unless you are okay with dying or its absolutely necessary for a push
2. Splashdown is something to rely on. If you do engage in a fight, make sure you have splashdown charged up/nearly charged up. Because if you play your cards right, you WILL kill at least one person on the enemy team.
3. Although toxic mist isn’t the best, don’t be afraid to utilize it! When LDE is active, it never hurts to throw it.
4. Jumping is your best friend. The strafe speed in this thing isn’t half bad, and in combination with jumping and shield launches, it proves to be a very nimble weapon. Brella is best at countering short range shooters, and this weapon isn’t any different. With less spread overall than other brellas, it’s best strength is ledge peaking. This thing can be a menace.
5. THIS KIT IS FUN. Great for annoying/stalling the enemy team.
Gear recommendations:
SCU-You won’t be getting a lot of splashdowns without this. 200p for splashdown is ridiculous and it should be 170p/180p in an ideal world.
LDE- Just really important since this weapon isn’t exactly amazing with ink efficiency

The new recycled brella is at least better than the original one.
Pretty sure the devs just added Recycled Brella to the game to let us know how much they don't want the brella class to be any better then it is now. First they gave it the 90 damage to confirm they will never consider giving Splat Brella it's damage back, gave it a lack luster shield gimmick and then to spite the weapon itself being lacking proceeded to give it janky half baked kits. What brellas did to the devs I don't know but man do they treat them like an unwanted child that made the mistake of making the golden child look bad one time.
Honestly this is my favorite weapon in the whole game, and I didn't realize there was no content made on it. Looks like I have something I ought to get started on for this community :p
I love to think of this weapon as a brella without a shield. So like a blaster with no indirects, no one shot directs, and no damage consistency!

brellas are really getting the short end of the stick and its sad to see genuinely, i play both sorella and splatana stamper and i wish brella would just get back a slight damage buff to it, from 90 to 81 damage is a huge hit to it but i could see why they did it

Might be a hot take, but this brella is unironically my favorite one to play! I wish it was good enough to use at a higher level, but I really do like playing it over Tenta for fun.

Recycled makes me wish they never gave Bella's a 4th weapon.
I say that because I'm concerned they will be too scared to give splat brella the damage consistency buffs it needs, because it might box out this new weapon.
I should note there is a path forward where both get the changes they need and feel distinct. I just don't have faith in the dev team to see it and be willing to try it
They already feel really distinct, recycled plays almost entirely around shield launches, while splat brella practically never launches shield outside of a few niche utilities.
This weapon sucks but I 4 starred the first one because I found the kit fun. The kit’s fun on this too, but it’s a Recycle so it’s poopy
Also during the first few days of the season, Decavitators were everywhere and annoying a lot of people, but somehow I was destroying most of them with this thing. It’s what made me realize Decavitator can get crapped on really hard and isn’t OP
Splashdown is pretty much the same special as ultra stamp but more consistent, and recycled brella is the wiper of the brellas, so this weapon is great with splashdown. Mist is not good, but it's superior to poke with and make utility with than line marker, which is important since recycled brella has a large amount of downtime compared to most weapons, and it does have some amount of synergy with splashdown, as well as location utility and being great on defense. I like this weapon, and if it had burst bomb or torpedo this would be a perfect kit.
Line Marker is the best sub for Bambrella because it costs the least amount of ink. Its damage and location and mobility and range also help Bambrella more than Toxic Mist does.
@@sherbertshortkake6649 ink cost only matters so much when you can't actually use your sub weapon in combat. On paper line marker should be the better sub weapon, but when your primary combo tool is less consistent than your main weapon it's often safer, both in dealing damage and in ink cost to not use it for combat encounters (the few frames it saves are not worth having to completely readjust your aim in a split second to be able to hit your line marker). As for location, line marker is ok but can't effectively map out an area like other location tools due to its thin area of effect, not to mention it has the shortest location timer out of anything besides the initial wave breaker sensor. I will say that the movement is a genuine problem without line marker, but there are other movement subs in the game that would work fine with this. The biggest point against line marker though is that it's a subpar poking tool, since it has no way to deal with line of sight you can't actually do much to affect enemies at any given point, and if you want to use its range to the fullest it restricts you to higher up places where the weapon can't move as freely as it would like. Mist may not be a great sub weapon, but no matter what state the game is, and no matter where you and other players are, there's a good chance you can throw mist and it will hinder the enemy in some way, which is important for a weapon that spends so much time moving around waiting for opportunities to get in.
With all this in mind, burst bomb would actually be the perfect sub weapon for this, as its just as fast and nearly as cheap as line marker, offers superior mobility, makes for consistent and therefore viable combos, and offers great poking utility, but that's no surprise since it is one of the best subs in the game.

Bambrella is a weapon that has so many unique factors to it, but said factors are so weak/undertuned that it just ends up ruining the weapon, hell: Even the name was a missed opportunity. You're telling me not ONE person on the dev team thought of "Bambrella", a pun that fits in with other weapon names, but thought RECYCLED BRELLA was a better name? I could write a few paragraphs of why I hate how they've handled the weapon, but no-one would read that lol.
For kits, they basically gave it two kits without a sub, and a special that requires the user to already be in to use, the only difference being one special is actually synergistic.
Angle Shooter isn't that bad on Recycle, it just needed a different Special or alternate kit with a bomb. Like, it's a cheap combo tool and can harass opponents outside of the main's range. It's not the greatest but it works.
It's once everything else comes into play that it falls apart. One kit is extremely main-dependent with almost no playmaking potential and neither kit can really pressure opponents outside of kissing distance or out of LoS at all. It all results in Recycle barely having any say over the game. That's not Angle Shooter's fault, it's just not strong enough to hold the rest of it up.
@@crazyshark1016 I do agree it's not bad on Bambrella, but it's still a sub where you'd rather have almost any other sub instead, except for Sensor and Mist....

True. I still think if the marker kit had gotten Inkjet or Booyah Bomb, or heck even Super Chump, it would've been better. Aside from Mist, the pieces are fine on Recycle individually, they just shouldn't have been put together like that.
@@crazyshark1016 Agreed. Bambrella wants something along the lines of Burst, Sprinkler, and Wall for subs, and something like Kraken, Crab, and Missiles/Chumps to make up for its weaknesses. Angle and Splashdown actually work, but they are both paired with something that makes it very hard to use them properly.
It’s sucks because it’s seems like this weapon would be a better brella as it has high consistent damage.
Just that isn't enough. Brella's need to always be able to play around their shields, or else you're better off playing one of the many sloshers which are already good in competitive.
This thing getting splashdown feels like such a waste, especially when vunder gets reefslider already and gets it cheaper on a kit that has a bit better synergy between the main/sub/special combo. I was really hoping for rain or something that would let me move around with the main and do something, but there's just no sauce to splashdown I feel. Just click the stick and watch something happen, and when brellas are such a cool main weapon concept that feels disappointing

I would not say vunder has better synergy than this thing, first of all vunder is a support that doesn't have a sub it can poke with, and doesn't have a special it can easily coordinate with its team, and any utility the special does have in team fights results in it relocating to disadvantageous positions too far in for the weapon. In addition it, as well as every other reefslider option is far outclassed by dread, not to mention reefslider in general is just a much worse special in the first place.
Regardless of vunder being bad, recycled brella is still really good in terms of special synergy. Splashdown only has value if you can get in, or use it mid fight as a continuation tool, and both of those criteria match up exactly with what recycled brella wants to be doing, as the most forward agressive brella in the game. In addition, the combos work great for it, since recycled has good range and consistent damage numbers, and it also provides utility to make up for the bad object damage. The sub weapon, while not unusable, is not ideal and brings down the kit a lot, but I definitely won't act like splashdown is somehow bad for it. The only other specials I might give it would be missiles or wail, as it needs some sort of displacement tool to deal with the backlines and midlines it struggles against, and could also use those for combos and continuation in the case of wail. I really don't think rain would give the same displacement, not to mention rain makes way more sense for splat brella, since that weapon can make much better use of the kid form healing buff rain gives.
