Nile is one of the best rythm guitars I have ever heard of. I compare him with Keith Richards though their styles are very different.. His groove is very funky!!! I saw Chic fifteen years ago in Spain and I was astonished. I love disco and funky and Rodgers is one of my idols.
I spend my life more on Rock music, high quality rock music...BUT the DISCO of NILE in something UP all the rest also if I`m not a dancer. Genius... with a few chords, but always with some non-obvious ones taken from his jazz culture and absolute genius, he has created melodies that you can play for hours and hours and they never get boring!!! the bass line of his friend brother Bernard marked these chord turns in a sublime way ... and the two female voices, always fantastic, bring these songs to something sublime .... GOOD TIME, EVERY BODY DANCE, WE ARE FAMILY; DANCE DANCE DANCE ...LE FREAK listening every day to them is fantastic... but seeing them in concert, I would go and play with them for free all my life...
@@jimizanei Yeah. I recently went to a Nile concert in Madrid and it was sublime. Fantastic band. By the way, his friend Edwards is an iconic disco bass player. His bass fillings in Good Times are simply unbeatable.
Super talented and passionate Musicians are CHIC,very much proven,at the highly recommended, Nile Rodgers and the Tiny Desk Concerts,all of them live Acts are incredible !!!! Back then and still grooving today through time with our Good Times !!!! This Band gave the basis for sooooooo much !!!! It is sooooo great to hear and see that Mr. Nile Rodgers is keeping the Spirit through Groove alive !!!! Thank you very much and all the best to all of you !!!!! CHIC !!!!
