J'avais 13 ans... Et je suis encore marqué, tatoué, par cette musique et cette chanson. Le morceau instrumental est absolument sublime. J'ai emmené ma fille de 7 ans et demi en juin 2013. Ce fut son premier concert, et elle s'en souvient encore. 🥀🥰
They were the Bad Boys of the 70s and 80s. There were the BEAST on writing, playing instruments and producing. I am so glad that I had the pleasure of seeing them perform live twice, the original Chic. Loved it. I forgot to mentioned that I personally talked with Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards, Luci Martin and Alfa Anderson. I guess that Tony Thompson was shy because he kept on walking. It was a great experience of meeting them. Rest in Peace Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson.
Those brothers are the reason I started playing my six string. I was in HS when this came out and I had the entire album on cassette and would go to sleep at night for months listening to the entire thing.....I can play ALL their hits! Props to the violinist....DOPE!

For me, this is the greatest disco song of all time. You couldn't find a spot on the dance floor back in the day when this played. If it came out today in 2022, it would be a hit all over again.
Yep. I remember when it came out. A great groove then and still now. I love the use of the strings. I used 2 compose musice and chart marching bands. I converted the strings in2 trombone / baritone parts. The director and members were amazed at how well it sounded when I played it. It was back when there were bands, instruments, musicians, talent and pride. No more of that now. I played this and others of the time back when I was a musician.
I just love Chic. Their music is so inviting and deliciously infecting. It’s right up there with my old baseball glove, it just feels right and you cherish the hell out of it. This is a great group who helped shape the 70s and you really can’t think of music from that era without them coming to mind.

Kudos for the fine fresh mix, the great audio, and the wonderful stereo separation of Nile and Bernard's guitars.....great sound. Great to hear this tune in such a musically pristine format. For you Chic fans, the drummer....Tony....didn't get a lot of mention, but his percussion and beat and tempo was rock solid....no?
