When I started watching this video I thought it was an A seemanni but she is a real stunner and quite an eater lol. I’ll have to keep my eye out for this one. Hope you’re all keeping well. Great video as always.
No joke, while I was editing this video I said to Billie, "People are going to think that this is an A. seemanni." haha She definitely looks like one! Thanks so much, bud!
Mine grew really fast until it hit the 4" size, then seemed to stall. Its last molt was Nov 2023. I expect it to molt soon and gain some size (and turn black as it's still brown lol). Really sweet tarantula, and I definitely think it would be a great beginner species!
BRO! I can't believe you didn't block her hide before trying to move her. I thought I learned that method you??? Oh well, another great video and (almost) seamless rehouse. Beautiful tarantula ❤❤❤. Shout to the camera woman. Way to girl! His videos would be nothing w/o you! 😂
Hey, bud! Usually I do, but I forgot in this case. It didn't end up retreating to its burrow, so it didn't end up making a difference in the end. :) And thank you so much from both of us!
So gorgeous! My A geniculata sling is definitely one of my fast growing, I’m hoping it doesn’t have the reputed attitude when it’s bigger. I would love one of these, I love that dark chocolate brown-black color with the striping, so pretty!
Tom: This one has never kicked a hair...Billie: Famous last words 😂 I remember these were pretty common in the hobby around the late 90's and early 2000's. At least in Germany. But now they're almost dissapeared. Wich is a little sad, because they're very beautiful.
Hey Tom, do you have any experience with acanthoscurria simoensi. Very cool looking acanthoscurria species. I saw it advertised once on arachnoboards but I think it was local only
We love A Gens. Sadly the first molted male. However on our 2nd and love your girls beauty and feeding response. Prior to today hadn’t heard of her. What is her name. LOL
Man, Tom, you've been putting out videos recently, and I have missed them. I'm catching up though. I just found out my G pulchra is prob a male, so, maybe I'll try to find one of these instead. I prob won't find one, but I can try. I am not ready for Asian Fossorials or S calceatums, so no Heart Attack pack for me. I told my husband anything with the word Earth Tiger is a no for me. I feel almost ready for a Pokie but I've told my husband how fast they are and he knows about their venom, so now idk if he'll ever allow me to have one. Haha.
No worries, Callie! People have lives, and I totally get them. I'm always here when you have the time. :) And I completely understand about the Asian fossorials and S. Cal. Poecilotheria DO have the venom, but they are actually very shy spiders overall. Hopefully, he caves someday and lets you get one. :)
She looks slate blue. Not black at all. I love your T's Tom. Hi Billie! We know you are there. The camera work is done by the beautiful and vivacious wife of Tom. Please give her a hand, or a foot. Have a great weekend you too. Do your kids every get to watch the T's or do you keep them far away?
I can definitely see that! And thank you so much from both of us! The kids can come up here any time they want, but they aren't particularly interested in them. My 21-year-old will wander up here every so often to check things out. :)
@@TomsBigSpiders You have a 21 year old. Does he or she go to college? WOW. I thought you were in your early 30's. I guess it might be closer to 40. Cool. Give Billie a hug from me too. She is a good wife. May you have a blessed weekend.
And, yes...this spider does finally look black! 😂
What a beautiful T! Loved this video on a species that I wasn’t familiar with. Thanks! Tom.
Yeah, this one is a big obscure these days. And thank you for watching!
WooHooooo! A new Tom's Big Spiders video 😀 My afternoon just got a whole lot better 😊 Hello Tom, hello Billie ❤
Ha! Thanks so much from the both of us, Mara! :)
@@TomsBigSpiders Y'all are quite welcome 😀🤗😁

Yeah, this one spent a while at that size, but she hit 4" within two years, which was quite fast. Glad to know that I'm not the only one with one!
Thanks for the video. Hi Billie!
Thank you for watching!

Yup, I had the piece of cardboard ready to block it, but I ended up shooting some footage beforehand and forgot to slip it in there!

I've found that they can be a bit high strung, but the "attitude" people usually speak about is often just a good feeding response. :)
Wow, I have never heard of this one! ❤
Yeah, sadly they are very difficult to find these days.
Nice one Tom, I've never seen these before, lovely T
Thank you so much, Scott!

Haha Yeah, I almost jinxed myself there! And It really is sad! I've actually seen older books on how to keep them, but now no one has them.
Hello great video information and rehousing Tom
Thanks so much, Moon!
She's very pretty! Don't recall having seen these available here in the UK, not in the last few years anyway
Yeah, I haven't seen them around the states in quite a while either. :(
Beautiful spider! Deffo one I consider to get, if I can find this species here. 👍🏼
Thank you so much, Angela!
Just wanted to say hi to you and Billie.
She’s a beautiful t😍
Hey, Darcy! Hello from both of us!

Hi, Cody! Unfortunately, not yet, but I'm definitely interested in keeping that species.

Awwww...I'm sorry to hear that! Yeah, she is quite the spider, thank you! And she doesn't have a name...yet. :)
