The House and Senate is pretty well pure politics, so being found guilty in that arena does not need the burden of proof, indeed proof can be ignored if it suits the politics. For what Trump is accused of (and is guilty of in my estimation) it must be decided by the judiciary without fear or favour. The issue of impeached or not is political and has no bearing on guilt.

They set precedence now that they threw abortion rights back to the states so they should also say the states hold the rights for elections, as stated by the US Constitution. The citizens will judge the Supreme Court's decision. It's a sad day when/if the courts let politics into its decisions.
