I was skeptical about this game at first, but when I got it for $32 off Amazon and started playing I was immediately hooked. I honestly can’t wait to get back to my Switch to play it.

I think SEGA did a good job but I'd rather play All Star Racing Transformed... it has more content, etc it's more fun and has more variety in my opinion
Content output is actually pretty similar between the games, roster aside. TSR has more missions, but less new stages, and it's still the same amount. Low roster is made up for with the customization options which take the place of mods and there's an abundance of

I'm actually surprised at how smooth and well this plays. I'm also shocked that I'm enjoying at its a blast to play its a lil on the complex side but once you get the hang of it it's an absolute blast. It's great to have another fun racing game to play besides Mario Kart
I literally just walked into Walmart to buy a $40 E shop gift card to purchase this game. They had a physical copy there for 3299; they also had resident evil zero and resident evil remake physical copy together 3999
Was the budget as big as MK? No... Look, nobody expected it to be Mario Kart, but many have been playing MK8 for years upon years, and it is a good time for a little switch up. Team Sonic Racing is brilliant for what it is, and Crash Team Racing will be the same. (Although I do think CTR is better.)
Decent team racer certainly but Mario Kart is so iconic I don't see need for every racer to compete with it but find it's own audience on the Switch. I'd take a look at this at a later date. Cheers for the review.
This looks decent... I enjoyed Sonic Racing transformed on Wii U, I thought the one player mode was better than Mario Kart more modes to keep you interested. I will definitely pick this up when I get a chance. Great review as always 👍

Although I love Mario Kart multiplayer, I think I will enjoy this game more when I want to enjoy a kart game solo. I mean singleplayer Mario Kart got a bit boring, leading the pack and not much interactions. But having 2 AI teammates while you need to take care for each other during the races sounds really enjoyable and keeps the fun in playing singleplayer. My copy comes in tomorrow and I can't wait to play!

This seems like a must buy, but I can’t justify it at full price when I have Mario kart. And I only ever play Mario kart with friends and unfortunately I think this would be the same, specially with the teamwork idea and racing transformed on my laptop. Really enjoying this myself. The lack of cutscenes doesn't bother me at all, but that might be because I don't care about the story. I bought this for the racing, and the racing is fortunately superb. I do worry this game might be hidden in the shadow of Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing, but I think it's at least as good as them. Maybe even better, in some ways. CTR might be a good remake, but it's still a remake of an old gsme. And Mario Kart is... well, Mario Kart. It's a great game, but hardly a series known for innovation and trying out new things.

Seems better than I thought! But with MK8 and soon CTR I'm more than covered with the subgenre Although I prefer the sense of speed in this one (if we don't take into account the delightful 200cc mode in MK)
I’ve really been enjoying it, and I do agree with you on the MARIO kart. The only complaint I have is it’s hard to find players online, and I wish it was easier to play with friends (team up with them) but I love it and I’ve been playing so much! I feel the game is super solid and for 40 bucks. It’s a steal! That 30 FPS everyone complains about is seriously not noticeable.
i liked the horizontal splitscreen view when playing in 2 player splitscreen mode, i wonder why they scrapped that in mk8, i also thought the game looked good, wouldnt mind few concessions to achieve 60fps

I feel the big debate will be between Crash Team Racing and Sonic Team Racing. I would love a comparison between the two when both are on Switch. Sadly, Mario Kart is losing some competitive edge with those above mentioned games. I just Hope Nintendo releases a new Mario Kart game after 2020 that is a modern fresh take of Double Dash.
They tried to make mk more even by giving you less items the better you race and vice versa. It makes it so skill doesn't mean much anymore, hopefully these games will bring back skill and not just unfair items and ai
I played Sonic All Star Racing Transformed a lot on my Steam and had fun so maybe I might enjoy this one also. Though I wish Cream the Rabbit was playable. At least I can use Amy and Knuckles.
I am not sure why this game is Age of 3 tho. Some missions seem imposible at start of the game. Drift coin collecting is the worst. Tho my favorite mode is blowing up eggman bots.
I haven't play this enough to know if I like it better then Sonic All Star Racing Transformed or not. I just completed my 5th "recommended spec" family PC and looking for a fun game the family and non gamer wife could all play together. Glad to see this PC version supports all modern resolutions as three of my PC's in use for family lan run Ultrawide monitors which SART didn't support natively and had to run 3rd party apps and config to get it to work. Tonight after being fed up a little with the lack of Ultrawide support on SART I turned this newer one on and sure enough it works perfectly on my super ultrawide 49" 32:9 resolution. Runs constant at 140fps and butter smooth. It's $8 a license right now and just added 4 in the cart at Newegg and tempted to buy it simply for the modern improvements with resolution and graphical support.
Just picked this up Mark it’s a great game an still has more game modes to keep you hooked than MKart an it’s fun but even though I am enjoying it have to say a little bit disappointed as Sonic all star racing transformed for Wii U was a much better game all round. Had karts,boats an planes plus all the great Sega franchises thrown in along the way... from panzer dragon to house of the dead. Sega should have saved that game for the Switch as they put so much effort into it an unfortunately the Wii U just didn’t take off... still a fun little game an a nice review 👍🏻. I love the different games modes they though in. An I love the that games set out level to level like Mario 3 nice touch... I think Mario Kart should try something outside the basic 4 track cup system. Anyway roll on Christmas getting Pokemon an Witcher 3 . Laters 👋

As soon as it brings something new to the table, it's better than Mario Kart. Even "All-Stars Racing Transformed" was miles better than MK8. I mean... MK8 had this mechanic where you can drive upside-down and/or on the walls... but absolutely nothing changes with such a mechanic and it still fells the same. Sorry, but "Mario Kart" isn't the absolut standard for a kart racer, since it's basically the bare minimum.
This game is not nearly as good as "Transformed" . The gameplay is just not very fun. Not nearly as addictive as Mario Kart. Pretty disappointing for $40.

Mario Kart blows after awhile. Its good but gets old sooner or later. Team Sonic Racing probably will last longer.

I do like sonic racing games but the riding turbulence mechanic is only useful when I’m in second place. If you’re too far back it doesn’t really help
0:25 is the perfect explanation of me playing games with my son. It's annoying as sin but we can't help but always feel compelled to play again.

What I call the Team Ultimate when I am getting in the middle or back is Ultimate Team Reboot.

As soon as it brings something new to the table, it's better than Mario Kart.
Even "All-Stars Racing Transformed" was miles better than MK8.
I mean... MK8 had this mechanic where you can drive upside-down and/or on the walls... but absolutely nothing changes with such a mechanic and it still fells the same.
Sorry, but "Mario Kart" isn't the absolut standard for a kart racer, since it's basically the bare minimum.
Create game and thanks for the review. Im defo gonna save my money for CTR.
The price not worth it at all.
This game is not nearly as good as "Transformed" . The gameplay is just not very fun. Not nearly as addictive as Mario Kart. Pretty disappointing for $40.
