it's an interesting perspective. And probably intentional. The men were asking who would be greater and sit at the right hand of God - still missing the point. They were embarrassed of him - like the man from the sanhedren who visited Jesus at night. They saw miracles and were told of the resurrection and still doubted and were unsure. Jesus taught Mary - which was unheard of. She sat at his feet and learned and got it. Her sister Martha was jealous that she was doing all the work and Mary sat with Jesus, learning and Jesus said 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed-or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” When they came for Jesus, them men scattered. His close disciple - his Rock - even denied him three times. When Jesus returned, he found them back at their jobs, fishing - they didn't just scatter - they went back to work as if the whole thing didn't happen. Meanwhile, Mary poured anointing oil on the feet of Jesus that cost a year's salary. She knew he was the anointed one and the messiah. He asked before raising Lazarus from the dead and Mary proclaimed he is the messiah. She followed him to the cross. She wept and went to the tomb. The angels and Jesus appeared to Mary first. And yet the apostles, when they saw him resurrected, "needed proof" and to feel his hands. Mary Magdalene was more aware of who Jesus was and believed in him more than the other disciples. The Dead Sea scrolls and gospel of Mary prove this. But even the Bible did. The apostles doubted, ran away, denied him, and didn't understand him. Mary knew he was the messiah, washed his feet, stayed by the cross and was who the angles appeared to. She understood love and agape in a way the men didn't.

The Arian vs Orthodox fracas so evident at the Council of Nicaea has plagued Christianity since the days of Constantine.
