Thank you so much for your advice my legs and right hip was really painful and I wasn’t able to walk normally I’m 46 and had a full hysterectomy 3 years ago and i started following your advices and started taking glucosamine, magnesium, calcium, fish oil , zinc and drinking warm water before bed and immediately felt the change on my body. Thank you so much 😊 you safe my life.
I've been weight training for 23 years. In menpause this month, 12 months no cycle. The aches and pains in knees is horrible mostly at night.Am I more at risk now? Drinking hot water 4 litres minimum, exercising daily, taking magnesium, having massages, hot sauna most days, vegan, high protein, meditate... don't know what else I can do?
Hi Samantha You seem to be doing everything right but maybe add in some oils especially for the joints. As you are vegan you could try a flaxseed capsule. It is also a good idea to get this checked out by your doctor just in case it isn't related to the menopause. Best Wishes Eileen
I find that drinking water with a tablet of electrolytes really helps me feel better. It picks me up and hydrates me. I buy a brand here in the states called NUUN it’s sugar free so it’s not loaded with all the bad stuff like Gatorade or Powerade are. Sending everyone lots of love and light and healing 🙏
Ooo i gona try coconut water with some natural flavour as i hate taste but I know it balances electrolytes and I feel this tip u gave might help me as I'm skinny enough and weak! Often I get dizzy between meals. I'll go back carrying a banana as this helped b4to snack on half even2give me a lift in energy!
Hi I’m Annie from New Brunswick Canada. In January 2015, I’ve had my thyroid removed and in June 2023, I’ve had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. So I’m about to experience menopause soon. I am on Synthroid with a dosage of 0.088mg I will be going to my ENT on Sept 18,2023 to see if I need more Synthroid dosage.
Hi Meredith If symptoms are getting worse for you then it may be an idea to ask your doctor for a general health check. Other ailments can creep in at this point such as low iron, low thyroid function, low vitamin D or B12 or even diabetes, and these can all cause menopause-like symptoms. Your doctor can test for these just to rule them out. Best Wishes Eileen
This symptom just started I am in menopause. I am so achey in my knees and hips . I am doing all you said for a long time. I am so sick of this shit!!!I am on a cycle bad with my daughter I don’t get a period but the cycle she leaves near me. I told her to move LOlz 😂
Hi Bina This is something you would need to discuss with your doctor as they would need to take your age, symptoms and any health issues you may have into account. Best Wishes Eileen
I’m a little bit confused when it comes to women’s hormones. For a while I’ve been told by different physicians both traditional and naturopaths that I am estrogen dominant and that this is why I’ve had so many issues with heavy bleeding during my menstruation, terrible cramping, headaches, body pain, anxiety, etc. Now that I’m almost 42 I’m starting to think I’m premenopausal which means estrogen is actually dropping? And this is the cause of my feeling all these body pains? But my periods are still very heavy, painful, and regular each month. I’m so confused 😢
Hi Ruth, I know it can be confusing! What is called oestrogen dominance is actually oestrogen levels being higher compared to progesterone. So an excess of oestrogen can lead to heavy periods, cramps and PMS. In perimenopause, oestrogen can drop which is what happens when periods start getting lighter and further apart. But often progesterone levels drop faster than oestrogen so oestrogen is comparatively high which is why you may be getting some symptoms of perimenopause as well as heavy periods. Agnus castus is a herb that can be really helpful for this! You take it every day of your cycle for 1-3 months to notice the benefits. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/agnus-castus/index.php

Hi Cramps can often be eased with a magnesium supplement, approx 200mg twice a day, and don't forget to drink lots of plain water as dehydration can make this worse! Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Mary Hopefully, the tips and advice will be helpful for you. Remember to drink plenty of water as sweats will really dehydrate you and this will make the pain worse! Best Wishes Eileen

Hi there! I have experienced itchy skin too. I remember my mom did as well when she went through menopause. She used to take baths with aveeno oatmeal soak and it seemed to help her.
My body aches all the time.....hips elbows knees. And I am tired all the time. At night I feel like it gets worse. My hips hurt so bad and my legs feel like I have restless leg syndrome. My husband is amazing and massages every night......UGH
I had the worst hip and leg pain when i first entered peri 5 yrs ago. Magnesium helped alot and fish oil. Stretching was a relef. Good news is , it does go away. Praying for you
Hi Bina These are both common menopause symptoms but headaches can be caused by other issues such as high blood pressure, dehydration or low blood sugars so it is best to get this checked out by your doctor too. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Marie You can drink herb teas, white or green teas or diluted fresh fruit juices (there's a lot of fruit sugars in these so only drink occasionally). If you really need coffee or tea then just have one cup of coffee before 12pm and 1-2 cups of tea but before 5pm - caffeine drinks later can cause poor sleep. Best Wishes Eileen

I have at night, a weird sense of discomfort in my whole body, and no sleeping position seems aligned or comfortable, its annoying. Its not pain, just not normal.
Hi Marina Some women find that their posture can change slightly and this can have quite a big impact on how you sleep. If you've not bought a new mattress for a few years you may find getting one can really help - it may be that your body needs a different firmness or softness in order for it to relax properly before sleep. Best Wishes Eileen
