I never had anxiety until I was 47 and that’s how I discovered I was in perimenopause. Thankfully I’m on a hormone treatment protocol and I feel better.
I have endometriosis and got a hysterectomy within 3 laparoscopic surgeries. After my last surgery 3 days later a tree hit my house chopping it in half. We were all in there and none of us were hurt. A few months later once things started to settle and calm down after holiday I woke up in the evening from a nap in severe panic. I have severe trauma from my past, being gaslit but the medical field, and then the tree. Being put into medical menopause sure didn’t help me. I have a team of drs and put in the right kind of psych meds and HRT to help me. Therapy and EMDR including meds has helped Me tremendously!! I’m not 100 but I’m way better! Not everyone shares me story, I can deal with the pain, I can’t deal with the panic/fight or flight mode that I was stuck in. It was as if my mind or whatever was torturing me. I hope no one has to go through that ever and I hope myself and others heal and can control our anxieties with simplicity 💜
Yes I have been in menopause for 6 years and I just now started with the morning anxiety and insomnia. It’s so awful!! I thought i was doing pretty good for 6 years then all of a sudden this shows up.
I experience what i call "flash freezes". It doesnt matter how many layers of clothes i put on and wrap up in a blanket and head scarf, i am ICE to the bone. 🥶 This comes on suddenly and lasts about a half hour to an hour. I havent heard of it listed as a common symptom as far as i know, so im a little worried its from something else. 😬
I’ve jus turned 51 an started to get hot flushes during the night an they keep waking me up an my anxiety is through the roof, waiting for my blood test results to confirm I am then start Hrt hopefully

Hi This is a difficult question as it is different for every woman. However, for most women they find that symptoms start to ease off or stop around 2-5 years after periods have finally finished and this is what I class 'after the menopause'. Best Wishes Eileen
Did benzoyl and it was worse than the anxiety to come off of them when I took them several years ago. The only med I can take to help with anxiety is an as you need it. Me too although I'm post
I suffer terrible anxiety with palpitations and migraines, the last migraine landed me in accident and emergency at hospital, I threw up and it sent my heart into spasm, they said it was arterial fibrillation, just hoping they were wrong and that it doesn’t happen again.
How are you doing? Have your migraines gotten better?
@@angelicaflores505 I wish they had, every few weeks I have severe anxiety for 2 to 3 weeks then a week of sleeping 3 or 4 hours a night triggering migraines then a couple of weeks it calms down then the cycle starts again, it's destroying, I have seen a menopause nurse today, I am trying Evorel patch and Utrogestan tablet to see how that goes, I'm using femseven patch at the moment they only go up to 50mcg, this is no good to me, I put 2 patches on which is off licence but I needed sleep so fingers crossed all goes well with the Evorel 🤦♀️
@@suzieg9076 I cannot believe how sleep is so disturbed during this time! I hope everything works out for you. I'm so sorry that you're going through this. My mom's friends said they stop after menopause
@angelica flores oh I cant wait, someone should write a book.... surviving the menopause!! It is soul destroying 😔
@@suzieg9076 it really is. I've heard that magnesium is really good to take at night to get a better sleep I also did some research and there's migraine patches. I'm praying that these work

Also anyone else have cold chills as well? I am always freezing any more
Hi Beth
Although not as common as flushes some women do experience cold flushes and sweats. It is usually caused by the same mechanism as hot flushes so the sage should help with this as well.
Yes. Sometimes just my arm's.
Yes, I feel cold all the time, and as you 'freezing.' I get anxious and nervous. Boy, I did not realize how menopause makes me feel.
Mary me too honey I freeze constantly anymore it’s awful this anxiety as well
Praise the Lord ... am glad to hear i am NOT the only one who get sensitivity to the COLD. It is made especially worse by this new advice for covid to open windows 😑 which is my worse nightmare and totally unbearable. The government and health authorities never think of those with medicall conditions with sensitivity to the cold 🥶 🤔 what are we to do ???

@@AvogelCoUk Eileen, just I have a question. I appreciate your response. My last period was 6 months and one week ago and I am 55. It’s one week that I have sore and swollen breasts and painful. If I don’t get period what can the reason be to have PMS symptoms for a few weeks and sore and swollen breasts for one week up to now? If my estrogen is low what is the reason of PMS symptoms? I have touched, there’s nothing in the area. I see my family doctor at the end of this month and I am worried. I have had a lot of stress in recent month and it’s a long time that I take depression medication as my doctor prescribes and I have had a terrible premenopausal time since 5-6 years ago. Thank you so much! I appreciate your response because I believe that your information about menopause are so wonderful. Best Regards Shirin
@@AvogelCoUk Just one other thing: I have also bone and joints and arm and finger and rib pain my upper left front and I feel inflammation also when it’s the same time with sore and swollen breasts it’s really difficult to handle. This is related to my previous message. Thank you

@@Tina-ht9ff Thank you but it’s 3 months that I have completed my menopause. Thank comment was an old comment.
I’m 56 and officially in late onset menopause - no sign in sight yet for this change of life for me. My friends are completely shocked to see my white hair and hear I’m still getting a cycle monthly. It’s because my body is still producing follicle stimulating hormones.
Yes Amy, there are a small number of women who have a late menopause, even up to very late 50s!

Therapy and EMDR including meds has helped
Me tremendously!!
Great to hear that you're much better now, hope this continues for you, Lauren!

It's akin to death, honestly, especially if you've had mental health problems all your life, have suffered extreme bullying and trauma.

Eileen, you refer to "after the menopause". At what point is menopause considered finished?
Hi
This is a difficult question as it is different for every woman. However, for most women they find that symptoms start to ease off or stop around 2-5 years after periods have finally finished and this is what I class 'after the menopause'.

What took anxiety away from me and other symptoms was me drinking soy milk everyday

What kind of antidepressant are you taken for menopause/anxiety?

Can we use estrogen cream? I find it does help me
