Bit harsh. I have followed Mark Holmes for years and he is the first to say that success is down to time and access. Mark is a very accomplished angler who often thinks outside of the box to achieve his success. He is the most down to earth man you could meet and is always prepared to help anyone but will remind you that it’s only his opinion. It’s simple really, if you don’t like what you see, don’t watch it. Why the need for bitchy remarks fellas.

Very interesting this rig, I'm going to try it.
Point to add though is that Mark actually thinks about what he's useing, do you seriously think he would cast out a dangerous rig? Hand on heart I doubt you do.

It's easy to get lead wire just take a bit out of a lead core leader 👍👍

Not heavy enough else he wouldn't be saying it's the hardest thing to get hold of 👍

feels like it could do mouth damage with the wire hanging out just like the 360

Hi Danny, this rig shouldn't be any more dangerous than any other modern rigs. The lead wire is relatively soft and flexible, plus there isn't really anything for the net mesh to get caught on. Regardless of rig choice it's always best to check your hook placement before lifting the fish from the water to avoid potential damage.

Barbed hook and lead wire? Doesn't seem very fish friendly

Hi there, this rig doesn't provide any further risk to carp - the wire arrangement has plenty of flexibility and the wire itself is very malleable. Barbed/barbless hooks are just down to personal choice, experience and fishery rules, so please use what suits your situation.

Sticking a hook in any fish isn’t fish friendly but we still do it

@totalcarpmagazine cheers for the response very much appreciated. I was concerned about using "lead" isn't it toxic?
