If you've seen enough anime, Xingqiu's VA is very distinctively that of a female voicing a male, so much so that I can't even imagine that type of voice as "male" anymore. I don't think a male can actually sound that.

It's not mindblowing. VAs get their jobs not just from anime, but also games and commercials. Given that these VAs are very famous, it's normal that some of them will get the job.
