To say that Japanese anime voice acting industry is much bigger than other languages' is an understatement. One character could have more JP VAs auditioning for than there are VAs in total in other languages. And to say that "EN and JP voices are equally good" is like saying "NBA is equally as good as the national basketball association of Uganda". You may not agree to that analogy because acting is not a sport there is no scoring boards. All you have is your personal biases often against the languages you are not familiar with. But judging purely by industry size, the gap is literally that big without exaggeration. To add to the point about the size of industry and talent pool. Notice how every single one of them in this video has a different and recognizable voice despite characters are all around the same age? Other languages struggle to offer distinctions in voices among young characters. It's always the same forced high pitch voices every time there is a need for young female voices .

Kaguya Shinomiya has to be her best performance tho. Damn, the duality of the voice of most of the VA's is really impressive. If you compare the voices of some of the characters that the same VA did, it sounds as if it was a different person who voiced it.
Tons of those name are high ranking / popular VA. Chances are you'll be hearing quite a lot of them if you consume reasonable amount of japanese anime or game. Sawashiro Miyuki, Yuuki Aoi, Hayami Saori, Rie Takahashi, Kensho Ono, and Yusa Koji is pretty much the usual name people will listed as top Seiyuu in Japan. The others are also big name with solid skill or rising star. Ayane Sakura, Kito Akari, and Aoi Koga is pretty much the new rising star in VA scene Kitamura Eri, Ueda Reina, Maaya Uchida, and Tamura Yukari is basically popular singer+VA Point is majority of them is popular with some exception like Xiangling or Xingyan VA which pretty much is a minor name VA (Minor as in they rarely get main role)

To say that Japanese anime voice acting industry is much bigger than other languages' is an understatement. One character could have more JP VAs auditioning for than there are VAs in total in other languages.
And to say that "EN and JP voices are equally good" is like saying "NBA is equally as good as the national basketball association of Uganda".
You may not agree to that analogy because acting is not a sport there is no scoring boards. All you have is your personal biases often against the languages you are not familiar with. But judging purely by industry size, the gap is literally that big without exaggeration.
To add to the point about the size of industry and talent pool. Notice how every single one of them in this video has a different and recognizable voice despite characters are all around the same age? Other languages struggle to offer distinctions in voices among young characters. It's always the same forced high pitch voices every time there is a need for young female voices .

Chances are you'll be hearing quite a lot of them if you consume reasonable amount of japanese anime or game.
