i don't know why you'd use all those pedals. One of the things i like best about the Super-Sonic is how the versatility and great sound of the overdrive is better than my pedals :)
to be honest i have some difficulties getting different drive tones from this machine... Of course you can dial Gain2 to vary from overdrive to distorion, and vary NOTCH to get different mids, but unfortunetly they arent footswitchable...So finally you edn up getting ONE drive tone playing live... With pedals you can have multiple gain flavors using just your foot;) Thats my point of view
@@arturq13 yes, you're right that it has a predominant flavour. Before getting this I only ever used about 3 pedals, so basically with the Bassman gain turned up to a crunch and with the Burn channel I'm pretty happy with those two flavours of drive. I'm actually less impressed with the cleans. I mean they're fine but not up there with the finest, so I use it as a two flavours of drive amp effectively and I have another amp for clean.
@@sirvidia I have big problem with spring reverb here. When i turn up the Reverb knob big hiss suddenly appears... Setting the knob past 12 o'clock gives me feedback that i cannot control... Just curious - do you have the same?
@@arturq13 You know the trick about moving the reverb cable away from the transformer? that will help. But no, I don't get feedback. Check the tube. Also, I'm enough of a reverb nerd that I had a Fender reverb unit so I don't use the reverb on this except lightly.
I've tried TwinReverb only once, and it was just a few minutes - to be honest I didn't liked it so much. It seemed thin and a little bit harsh - BUT this may be due the fact that Twin is very high power clean amp, and to get it work properly you would have to master volume up. I don't feel that I'm right person to compare those two amps (because my Twin Reverb journey was this quick, just few minutes) but the first conclusion is that Super Sonic plays much better at low volumes - the sun is already fat, soft and juicy and I didn't get that from Twin reverb.
@@SonicSoundofDoom I run a Super-Sonic Twin, a Super-Sonic 100 and a Fender Bassman Neo 115 cab splitting highs and low between the combo and the Bassman cab. Makes a good stack
Dude! That groove at 1:12 -3:04 is delicious.
Spotted one of these on Reverb. It is being delivered in a few days. This amp sounds really good.
Welcome to the club of supersonic users;)
@@arturq13 Thanks. Eagerly anticipating its arrival.
Thanks. Have thought about this amp for quite some time. Thanks for the demo!
I can say only positives about this amp, maybe beside the weight of it...:) Im glad you liked it!
@@arturq13 I have one in cream and I totally agree about the weight.

Had one ... Blonde !! One INCREDIBALE Tone Monster BUT as heavy as a truck !!! 🤣
Sad but true! :)
Sounds very nice. Have you ever tried twin reverb and can you compare it( are they close)?
