I'm a newer player, and found myself really into missiles and designing strong support ships. I've never used mines, ever, but this video gave me all the information and inspiration I could possibly need. I feel like you respect the viewers' time with showing how to actually implement what you're sharing to us in a comfortable way. I'm full of new ideas already. Thanks, Tuna!
If I might make a suggestion, split your mic and computer audio (if you aren’t already) so you can decrease the game volume. There are several points throughout the video where the game audio is much larger than your voice.
Someone told you about my 200 mattock LN I see.... Thanks for updating your advice. I'll stop trying large pivot fields and play the terrain game I was born for.
Your 200 mattock LN? You merely adopted the mattocks. I was born in the mines, molded by it. Why, Matroskhya existed before mines even had an icon in the game and by the time it did it was blinding.
Hi Tuna, nice presentation! Every time I have to waste 10 minutes going wide around a rock for fear of sprints, it'll be your fault! When showing off specific mine points, it'd be nice if you'd given us a tacview shot first. I'm afraid I don't yet know the rocks of Yukon off by heart
Just gotta say, this is a very neat tutorial, I will be running it with my stealth cruiser build I'm setting up for the sole purpose of infuriating my friends (we play modded and don't go to pubs so that our autism is contained, such as my build consisting of 4 ships with 273 size 2 missiles each)
this was super helpful actually! I wouldn't have thought of placing mines right up against a surface like that, would have assumed it would just cause them to crash into it and be destroyed. though your volume mixing was a bit off, you got a bit drowned out by the gameplay segments at times. But other than that this was great, thanks for sharing!
Yeah your right, first time im doing voice over instead of live recording so I must have missed doing something to that part of the track. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for that going forwards! Thanks!
yeah i try to do what guides and experience players says but i always arrive late or im just detected, jammered and fucking destroyed by faster than light missiles
Great guide! I really need to play with mines more. Video feedback: turn down the audio on everything that isn't your voice (music, background clips). Your voice itself is fine, but everything else is a bit too loud and covers it.
A bit of constructive criticism: Work at your sound mixing. There were a few points were you where barley understandable over the music and sfx. Otherwise great video.
Definitely, though youtube seems to have made it worse in some manner? Comparing the video to my premier file and my voice is definitely more clear and audible there. Either way, I'll make sure to have it far more clear for future content so this can't happen.
Grand Wizard Tuna do size 2 and size 3 missiles have enough blast range to knock out a minefield in one/two shots? My thought is toss a 10 point S3 Blast at suspected minefield and see what happens or a 6 point S2.
It could well work; I tested it a bit before OSP was released publically, but it didn't seem to do much since the leading edge would trigger the fuse before it got in range of most of the mines. But now that the fuse caps at 50m you can blast frag bigger then that and hit a trap perhaps. It may be worth testing in single-player.
Your audio balance is off. Your voice is occassionally obfuscated by neb music or UI noises. The content of the new tutorial video is pretty fantastic, though. Big fan. Fun to watch and educational, too. "Drauger" is pronounce like "Frogger" but with a D in place of an F. I think the disclaimer + the higher production value and the focus on hidden traps is going to help reduce the negative influence another mine tutorial might have on pubs. I have high hopes for seeing decent quality mineplay in the coming month.
Cheers! I'll be keeping more of an eye on the audio, youtube seems to have exacerbated it somehow compared to whats on my computer, so I'll have to make sure to keep it very clear going forwards. Glad you enjoyed!
Nice video and a unexpected Limbus Company reference. Just please work on your audio balancing as it gets a bit difficult to hear what you say over the BGM. Generally aim for around a 20db difference if you didn't know! :)
Interesting video, gave me some things to think about build wise. But uh, you need to fix your audio. The background game was sometimes way louder then you and would cut out words or sentences even.
Hi! lovely vid but I just wanted to let you know that the voice lines of the game background sometimes overpowers your voice, and its difficult to hear what you're saying.
Aye! OSP Lineship 'Ever Given' copies. Deploying 200 Sprint Mines onto Point Dagger as ordered by Admiral Tuna! o7

the fucking signalis beat drop right with the mine bombing header screen is absolutely sending me

Noice! Been looking into mine play a bit as of late and its good to see I'm not going insane with M-30's being more or less useless.

Yo, you had a good format, good graphics, good content. All I can say is you're doing everything right, keep it up.
Cheers!

Very good video
Awesome! Minor nit, at 5:42 the level on your voice channel drops noticeably and it's a bit harder to understand you from there on.

Game sound is too loud and blocks what you are saying sometimes.
Was gonna say, good video content but audio mixing is atrocious

it increased actually for every mag since every ammo type is assigned in code a number (which represents the space one munition up in a mag)
nice
