While it was expected the underpowered Jimny would be no match for a more powerful Thar. But in this case thr Jimny stood the ground pretty well. That' clutch going bad itself shows the reliability issue which we find commonly in Mahindras and Tatas. However with low weight in offroad conditions Jimny will perform better. Though Thar has more power but it does have more weight too.

@@harbinderss anyways, manual car requires skilled driver, if thar driver was skilled he wouldn't burn the clutch plate. And if doubt capability of thar, then you must see TH-cam videos in which thar winning against 2 Innova simultaneously, Discovery, Fortuner, Scorpio etc...
And there is only 2 to 3 lack price difference in thar and jimny.

Thar was a clear winner expected here. So I would say Jimny justified its capabilities if not the price but Thar faltered here. In off road too it has faltered a few times. A moderately priced Jeep replica that's all I can say.
