So far I am little dissapointed by the 10kmpl mileage. For this price buy a car like Honda Elevate, these 4x4 cars are for people like me who have large farms and not able to foot it anymore. OTOH, its a fun car to drive in rural areas without worrying about a cracked crack case.
@@Raj72544 Yes, that's a little disappointing. We live near Manali, and there are no roads, but only rough paths considering the rain and snow. So spending the same amount on a car that's not 4-wheel-drive would mean always worrying about wear and tear, and damaging the car eventually.
@@urjakalaria6601 Then you will really get good returns from a Gimny, First thing I did along with a few friends here was to change the tyres to all terrain. We are in Coorg plantations. The car comes with street tyres. Tomorrow I drive to Mysore for a first 100km drive. I hope to get some decent mileage.
@@Raj72544 Yes we are about to do that. Maybe just experiencing it for a while with what the company offers, and then changing the tyres before snow hits.

I've barely seen any guy using 4*4 in real life condition, but they have do all this bullshit things with it. What was the need to put the vehicle in that condition in first place. you haven't used 4*4 in any of your trip even in himalayas. Actually there is not need for a 4*4 vehicle for any roadtrip in India.
you are correct, it is barely used. But it is very useful in even mild snow at road. I would rather pick capability of 4X4 over useless comforts like water bottle holder, auto dim irvm , ventilated seats, sofa set. If people need this much comfort, they should sit at home or use ola or uber luxury cars. Also these useless features increases maintenance cost. Good AC, decent music and foldable ORVM makes sense to me, rest is just waste of money to impress others.

Jimny is an underdog... highly underrated. It's doing literally everything that a proper off roader like range rover or prado does.. dont take it lightly just because the body is lighter and the power is less compared to other off roaders. I appreciate ur efforts to prove everyone wrong and change people's perspective towards Jimny. It's a way more sensible and practical vehicle than Thar. Thar just looks massive and that's the main selling point for it.

I think sensors stopped working due to water.. Snorkel can't do anything here..
@@avinash2_ Maybe, but water also went up to the air intake. Sensors are very cheap compared to fixing the engine. Title also says "engine seized".
@@alexfarseer3416 Maybe.. But water-wading capacity of Thar is 650 mm.. There's several causes of getting engine seized.. I think it's sensor issue... But If muddy water has entered the engine, then the engine will have to be opened to clean cylinder & piston
