Klaus would have stood a better chance and Hope is supposed to be stronger than him. Also even though magic doesn’t work on gods use it in the fight not to fight him. We saw Josie levitate herself. It proves Hope is strong enough to levitate herself with her magic or even fly. Personally, I think they really underpowered Hopes power in Legacies.
