Life is short…WEAR YOUR PEARLS!!!!! Love watching you girls. One year ago I went to 1st Sat. stitching at Quilter’s Station. My first and only time. I was so happy to meet Linnie. The very next day I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone. While I was in the hospital, my Dad passed away. Now one year has passed and I want to return BUT we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.❤
I remember meeting you Kay and have been wondering how you are. Isn’t it something to think how one day to the next can change. I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad and having a kidney stone. I had passed one on the night my mom passed. I never knew how painful they are. Come to find out I had two more to come. Please come back whenever you can. I would love to stitch together again. Congratulations on your big anniversary celebration. Today we are actually celebrating our 53. Hard to believe we were just babies and now we are old farts. Haha. I have annuals in the front of the house, in pots and some in the back garden. I've found only a few that the rabbits don't eat, which is why most are in pots. I know I'd miss a yard too if we were in the city! Thanks for spending time with us and taking time to comment!

Linnie, just to let you know, my Mom wore her pearls and earrings, along with corsets and Cuban heels to do her housework, every day. We were a family of six kids so lots of work to be done. Yours are perfect.
Hello ladies! I live in Jefferson City and did live in Overland Park and PV for quite a few years. I do not have a needlework shop here. So many things I miss about living there.
You ladies had me tearing up at the end of this one! Linny, your grandbabies are blessed to have you in their lives! My kids are blessed to have time with both sets of grandparents. BOTH of my babies are getting married this year (daughter was in March, son will be in October) and they get to have all of their grandparents present…but their spouses don’t have that blessing. It’s a unique and special bond no one else can fill….and time can zoom by so fast!!!!

Lovely lovely video!!! Great retreat recap! I have a large covered patio with a very comfortable couch that my husband and I enjoy sitting on and I stitch out there all summer long and it’s wonderful. I do have a light I take out there since we have power plugs. My husband is also a stitcher, but he likes to watch the birds. We have a lot of hummingbirds. I like the stitch and listen to the birds, and occasionally look up when I hear or he tells me there’s a hummingbird. We have 4 feeders in the back and one in the front. So it’s pretty active. I also had signed up for the Library Stitchers in April this past year, but I had some eye strokes in January and went through a lot of medical stuff and we felt it best that I stick close to home. I'm doing well right now and stitching, and quilting!

Yes signed up for my first cross stitch retreat in July. It’s local and a small group of 25! Small is good for a first. Yes family time from afar is always a plus!

We always said the prayer “God is great God is good, let us thank him for out food” before eating dinner every night. I suggest you search for the images of the letter A of what the actress wore. That was lovely compared to the one depicted in the modern day version. It might show more of what the cross stitch designer Scarlett Letter uses for their logo. Just a tidbit of information

I have the Susan Ache book and seeing your finishes reminded me that I need to pull that book out. I have read several Jennifer Chiaverini books. They are such good reads. I have annuals in the front of the house, in pots and some in the back garden. I've found only a few that the rabbits don't eat, which is why most are in pots. I know I'd miss a yard too if we were in the city! Thanks for spending time with us and taking time to comment!

Linnie, just to let you know, my Mom wore her pearls and earrings, along with corsets and Cuban heels to do her housework, every day. We were a family of six kids so lots of work to be done. Yours are perfect.

Hello ladies! I live in Jefferson City and did live in Overland Park and PV for quite a few years. I do not have a needlework shop here. So many things I miss about living there.
You ladies had me tearing up at the end of this one! Linny, your grandbabies are blessed to have you in their lives! My kids are blessed to have time with both sets of grandparents. BOTH of my babies are getting married this year (daughter was in March, son will be in October) and they get to have all of their grandparents present…but their spouses don’t have that blessing. It’s a unique and special bond no one else can fill….and time can zoom by so fast!!!!

Lovely lovely video!!! Great retreat recap! I have a large covered patio with a very comfortable couch that my husband and I enjoy sitting on and I stitch out there all summer long and it’s wonderful. I do have a light I take out there since we have power plugs. My husband is also a stitcher, but he likes to watch the birds. We have a lot of hummingbirds. I like the stitch and listen to the birds, and occasionally look up when I hear or he tells me there’s a hummingbird. We have 4 feeders in the back and one in the front. So it’s pretty active. Happy stitches ladies! 🪡🧵💞

I also had signed up for the Library Stitchers in April this past year, but I had some eye strokes in January and went through a lot of medical stuff and we felt it best that I stick close to home. I'm doing well right now and stitching, and quilting!

I did a project on samplers in high school and redesigned a sampler to add the quote “A woman derives a pleasure, (incompressible to the opposite sex) from the delicate toil of the needle.” I have also rad a lot of the Jennifer Chivarini books. Hi ladies …. Thanks for your shares. When you brought up the Scarlett letter . There was a TV series back in the late 70’s early 80’s. I suggest you search for the images of the letter A of what the actress wore. That was lovely compared to the one depicted in the modern day version. It might show more of what the cross stitch designer Scarlett Letter uses for their logo. Just a tidbit of information
I just checked and looks like at least part of the series is on TH-cam. I didn't remember that at all!
