Awesome mate, built a diorama about five years ago.similar layout,Horsa, welbikes and parabikes.great to take to shows, watch the kids looking at it.superb
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. It's truly an honor to hear from someone with such a direct link to history. Your neighbor's bravery as a British Airborne Engineer on that fateful night of June 6th, 1944, is a testament to the courage and sacrifice of all those who served. I'm glad my diorama could resonate with you and bring a piece of that history to life.
Small details make all the difference in the world! Im detailing a IBG British truck with a cab by Resicast and Im taking the time to detail the underside with brake fluid lines, etc.
Not to be pedantic or anything but did any of the gliders actually come down on their under carriages? I thought they were more of a controlled crash landing. Still excellent work though! Well done.
Good question. All my builds are with a soft landing and minimal damage. It's a great hobby but I prefer to make a “picture perfect” so no injuries or damage 😊
many thanks, good question. That did not had the effect that I have wished for. So I bought a new Bronco kit to remake the plane (not this year). The preshades I will make with a dremel multi tool so that it look more realistic.
That is superb and must have taken a lot of patience. Well done! It's a shame the likes of Tamiya can't understand that there were more than the nazis and Americans fighting in the 2nd World War and adjust their range to match it.
Thanks for your time to watch my first video. Yes I had to show a lot of patience, but not as much as the men of this operation. I agree with you, for modelling, there is not much British or American with these brands as there are German vehicles and figures. Maybe something of supply and demand....fortunately, I was still able to buy the same kits via marketplace and make a new British landing ;-)
That looks great! All elements are excellent, but I particularly like the figure painting.
Many thanks 😊

Fantastic depiction of the Longest Day. My next door neighbour was a British Airborne Engineer. Landed safely the night of 06 June 1944.

If it’s operation Varsity it’s not the longest day - it’s 24th March 1945. It was meant as a push across the Rhine.
Excellent dio & nice homage to the British paratroopers
Thanks for the kind reply 😊
Whoo your attention to detail is off the charts 👌

That is some serious work, I love it, I hope to one day be able to make one that beautiful.👍👍

Nice diorama bro. Lots of work, but what about the preshades and light contrasts on the plane?

Très joli diorama
