Best Emerging Sailing Channel 2025 awards? We all need to make sure you get nominated. The free diving was so good. Some of the best filming ever and you are clearly a water baby… you look so comfortable and peaceful. And that trimaran was crazy. I would sleep down there and get some external lights.
Slow the roll. Best for what? It’s truly fun and entertaining. But best……….I dunno. I don’t like that safety isn’t a primary concern. Hopefully that improves, but if you want to be called the best, you have to truly be the best at all aspects. Maybe most entertaining. Most likable couple. Coolest. That’s got my vote.
Super happy you liked the video! It would be cool to win one of those cruising awards but there are so many good TH-cam channels out there that it would be hard :-) i think you are right, if we had that trimaran we would put a bed down there for sure haha
There are a lot of sailing channels. Not that many good ones though IMHO. I am always looking for new ones and have been watching since there were only a handful. I think there are three big factors (kind of obvious but will say it anyway)… the people… what they are doing and how well they make their films. I personally am not generally into refit and work content… I want sailing, to interesting places that I might sail to. So you have that well covered especially heading to Venezuela. Your editing is simple (meant as a positive) and content interesting (the interesting dives, the trimaran). And lastly you come over as honest and nice people. It’s not all b roll and bikini. You deserve to do well you are clearly putting a lot of work into the videos. As both a one time journalist and video editor there are tips I could give for when, for example, you spoke to the trimaran owners. But it doesn’t matter, you are not reporters and the slight rawness works. So while it’s nice to be humble you are better than most of the new channels. And Coconut is obviously the star ;)

A great video, guys! Congratulations on your new personal best, Yvette. In fact, before you told us that, I had been thinking how impressive it was when you were free-diving at 100', swimming around down there against a back drop of scuba divers! And Darcy down there, filming it. Wicked! It just occurred to me that we may only be a few weeks away from Coco coming back?😊?😊??❤?? Stay safe and have fun!! ❤Lauren

Love the semi submersible Viewing trimeran ..i grew up Watching Cousteaus undersea world and David Attenborough. Your diving scenes were great.... Going that deep and holding depth is something i could barely consider . Fun fact Flamingoes leg skin and scales are so tough they can walk through water that is so alkaline it would dissolve human skin in a few minutes of contact. The little mud treading dance is to stir up the brine shrimps into the water and the beak is hooked to work inverted withnthe tounge pumping water in and out through a filter screen round the edges of their mouth/beak.

Absolutely zero need to have all these multiple stops for a couple dollars each time. Or 'how to tell you are in a 3rd world country'.
@sailing.supernova ok, but those two companies obviously know each other. Why have both companies pay for someone to sit at the cashier desk? Split the cost of 1 employee to cover both the ball and the dock. Even use 2 cash drawers if they like, but to have 2 people (per shift) waiting around for a boat to show up doesn't make sense.
