ODST is great in its own right. I feel like I didn’t enjoy it as much playing it growing up. However playing it as an adult hits different. I understand it more.
You should totally play ODST. For a Halo 3 side game, it is such a compelling experience. Custom ODST firefight also feels more social than other modes if you want to play something new multiplayerwise that still feels like old Halo.
Love it! Thanks for the ideas, I’m definitely going to have my day with ODST so once I do I’ll definitely explore and experiment with the ODST firefight mode 💯
a lot of it is corporate greed, it feels a lot like "yeah, we could finish making local splitscreen work, but then we wouldn't be able to profit off of that other player who never bought a copy!!!". I just miss when games would optimize fun. and not optimize profit.
Christmas 2007 opening the 360 with my bros and burning through the campaign in 7 hours... truly epic. All the retcons in the story, changes in art style and gameplay, I bounced off Halo 4 so hard and there has been no hype since.
The hype has not registered the same way or even remotely close to it since Halo 5 I bought that game day one and hated it. The only Halo I loathe entirely
Around 12 years ago was my first time playing halo CE it was way past its prime but it didn't matter to me I loved every second of it it was the multiplayer yeah I was bad it didn't matter to me it was fun it was GREAT and to this day i will never thank my dad enough from sitting me down and just letting me enjoy it.
I hear you. Makes me think of the time I was sick and at home on the release of Call Of Duty Black Ops 2. My dad saw a trailer on the tv and as I’m sat a room over watching a syndicate NukeTown 2025 Zombies stream he walks in and goes “is that the new Call Of Duty? I say; yes. He goes “Do you want me to go pick you up Black Ops 2?” An All time memory for me 🙌🏻
All of 343 Halo is a slap in the face. This is my take on it... Halo 4 started off good at least from a gameplay standpoint but the jackasses in management changed it for the worst. The story was also terribly written. I don't care what anybody says that story was awful. The thing about Halo 4 era 343 is it was a different 343 than what was today. Alot of the people there then (aside from management and a few others) WANTED to work on Halo. After 4 there was a drastic change. 343 got a much bigger ego and the people working at 343 just wanted to put Halo on a resume, not my words there. Look at the glassdoor reviews. MCCs OG release sucked. That was due to 343s incompetence. Porting those games should not have been so hard. Two of them were already working on PC. Halo 5 really showed me they did not care and hated their fans. The condescending marketing, the complete abandonment of the lore, art style, etc. That game made me go from moderatley disliking 343 to HATING them. Infinite is a shameless cash grab peddled by developers with an ego the size of a semitruck with no actual skill to back it up. 343 acts like they made Halo. They didn't. They inherited it and ruined it. Fuck 343. Fuck anyone who defends them.
let's play Halo together some time.. unless they're putting it on the PS5 with crossplay, i got nobody to play with since my friends don't have Xbox or Steam..
HALO isn't dead it's just missing in action
Yeah this is getting pinned 🙌🏻💯
That music in the beginning giving me goosebumps god damn.
Nostalgia's a hell of a drug
I am an avid nostalgia enthusiast 🫡

I was sobbing at the end of reach. That shit hit different
Seeing the message from bungie as the Pillar of Authmn approaches the halo just hits the soul every single time.
@@ZestDaddy69it really does, hard to believe how much time has passed since it came out too.
