Back in the day when you had to work hard just to survive, people cared for each other a lot better... Life was hard, but people treated each other better and appreciated life more and the 'purpose' was to survive and thrive as best as you could and you leaned on one another and thus, were a closer and better society... You forget that in a free enterprise system, productivity gains quickly result into lower prices because of competition. Even if existing companies don't cut their prices as a result of lower costs, then new entrepreneurs will take advantage of the opportunity to take market shares by offering a lower price. So we will all benefit from lower prices, be able to buy more goods and services, which will create new jobs in new industries. Several observations:
    1. Increased Robotics will result in MORE people being hired to manage and maintain those robots.
    2. Available labor will INCREASE 4 to 6 fold eventually.
    3. As Robotics tech matures and numbers explode, human requirements to manage and maintain will explode as well.
    4. Robots will not be able to manage robots early on, but more so as time goes on. Again this calls for more human employment.

@fidelcorona9998 Genocide based on a persons finances on a global scale is harder to pull off than you let on. Don't forget that we're talking about every country's elite agreeing on this horrible idea. If any country disagrees then it's essentially a world war. Starting a war is a large risk for the initiator, I believe these theoretical rich elite genociders would be too cowardly to initiate such a cleansing. Moreover I reckon if they really wanted to increase the available resources they would just target fertility rates, or more likely utilise this tech to terraform Earth's uninhabitable regions creating more space and natural resources. It's not all doom and gloom in my opinion. I reckon a global scale genocide, carried out by a group of cowardly people who have the most to lose, is much harder to pull off than you may think.

There are a few necessities that have to be implemented into the concept of a UBI. 1) It has to be temporary, meaning it is just a means to get to a new kind of economy like one that is Resource Based where money isn't needed to complete a task, only resources. Since you won't need to incentivize humans to work, you won't need money to get a job done; you will only need the materials for building or the energy to carry it out. 2) The UBI needs to be dispensed by an automated system on an open-source ledger, and it needs to be 100% guaranteed for EVERYONE, including criminals, and non-revokable. The reason being is that you don't want any incentives to jail people (like revoking their UBI to increase the pot for those who are not in jail), or any ability for a government to control people by threatening to take away or slash their payment. That sort of power incentivizes corruption and oppression. If no authority has any say over whether or not you eat/live then they have no control over your voice, and freedom of speech is preserved. If they DO have a say, they can oppress anyone challenging their corruption simply by removing their ability to buy food/shelter. 3) The payment needs to have capitalist values in that it needs to come from profit, not money printing, and it needs to be paid as a percentage of that profit, not a fixed amount. This establishes two things. a) it doesn't contribute to inflation or government spending (like entitlements), and b) it in ensures that a nation's citizens prosper in lock-step with the corporations that profit off their unemployment. The greater the profit revenue of the automated services, the greater the payout to the people. The money would come from an Automation Tax that is a win-win for everyone involved because the companies will still be making more money than they would be if they were employing humans, and the citizens (who are not working because of automation) will be enriched by this revolution rather than impoverished by it. This goes on until the whole world is automated, at which point there will be no more need for UBI's because there will be no more scarcity (because machines/AI will be able to acquire resources from anywhere in the solar system, provided they have energy). At that point, "money" and capitalism only exists as a tool to measure resources and efficiency that the AI uses, and humans will be entirely removed from that process. This is ESSENTIAL because that process is EXACTLY what incentivizes immoral behavior such as crime, corruption and greed, but it only does so in entities that are governed by a biological survival instinct (and that have a higher intellect, like humans). Machines are not, therefore they will not be susceptible to these downfalls, and the vast majority of ALL crime/corruption/inequality etc. will be eliminated as long as scarcity is no longer a part of society. (For more on this concept, look to teachings of Jacques Fresco and the Venus Project.)

As people's incomes drop, consumption will drop. Robots will not long be deployed to build or do things that nobody but a dwindling upper class can pay for as it scrabbles to recoup its own purchases. Prices therefore would collapse, but not below the robot's maintenance cost, the expense and durability of which are key questions. And it may well be that our newly discovered purpose will simply be to dismantle the robots we first built to save ourselves.

    1. Human beings get dignity from being productive and creating. People can be radically freer to create their unique vision.
    2. The technology will be in many companies competing.
    3. Humans will merge more with technology beyond cochlear implements, expanding neuralink and new merging tech.
    4. We will first go to Mars, then into the solar system and beyond.
