My son has a Y FSD. I've been a passenger many times and I've always felt safe even when driving during the testing stage. Now when I get in the car I don't even think about or realize my son isn't driving. 😊 We're in Nova Scotia Canada

Yes. You sue the insurance company. They pay out. That is in fact how it works. If Bill Gates is in an accident with you, you do not sue Bill. You sue his insurance. You do not get $245 million for a broken arm. You get the arm fixed at the insurances cost and a few grand less than your car was worth. That is all.

Noting is 100% safe. Every Tesla on the road makes the road safer. Tesla should inform the Netherlands that they can not have FSD.

The problem with FSD is the topic about liability. Yes humans make more accidents but it’s clear who is liable and who you can sue. But if a FSD car makes an accident even if it’s rare compared to human drivers who is at fault. As long as this is not clear it won’t be a thing.
Some day we need to invent insurance companies. You can sue them when in an accident. Until then you can only scream at God. So sad.
I would never trust Elon’s prediction. I always add 10 to 15 years to his predictions 😂

FSD 12.6.3 for HW3 is very good. My only interventions are for navigation’s poor choices! I hope Musk considers us long term monthly subscribers in the upgrade.
The tech is overhyped but that's been the case for 10 years. More importantly, driving tesla is like waving a swastika, that does not even pretend to be a fancy flag compared to non-swastika flags

The situation with European approval is ridiculous. What would be good would be if Tesla could do a deal for FSD to be fitted to BMW, VW or Mercedes, then the EU approval would sail through.
Just advertise that "safety is illegal in your country" then show videos of FSD saving lives backed by data showing safety and a list of countries who are ahead of the EU along with the amount of money saved in the billions.

I have been saying that Tesla ought to be building these vehicles with upgrades to their hardware in mind. Current vehicles come with hardware/AI 4. In 5 to 10 years this hardware may not run future versions of FSD.

It's too late. BYD is beating Tesla in every way. BYD vehicles are more efficient, and better built and exceed Telsa in sales. It's too bad that tariffs prevent their sale in the US.

I have a Model X and a Model S Plaid, both with HW3. I have previously owned a Model 3. I bought FSD for all 3. Total cost about $280,000. My question is... WHEN will I get the Actual FSD?

Nope, that's not true about skeptics. I own a Tesla with FSD and the camera-only system is not the way to go. Tesla models eliminate redundancy, meaning if the cameras fail, there's no backup system. No sensor fusion at all. Just the other day I was crossing a 4 lane intersection and the car cleared the first 2 lanes, did not stop in the center median and proceeded to dart out into traffic.
Elon will just have to find out the hard way.

Elon has a long history of false promises, especially around self driving. But this time he means it?
If fsd is so good and so safe now, why does Tesla still refuse to release the data? For all these years Tesla fans have had nothing to go by but comparing their own data to each other via third-party apps and even that data shows an awful record of a mere hundred miles or so between interventions… when was the last time humans needed an intervention to go further than 100 miles?
And comparing fsd crashes to human crashes is non-sensical: they both have human drivers! Only *driverless* fsd crash stats would make sense as a safety comparison to unassisted driving.
But go ahead and hold your breath for his driverless cars and Airbnb robotaxis in 2025 😂
