And the three or four so called clueless Leaders at this Company if they were even fired probably had golden parachute clauses...they may walk away richer after making decisions that cost hundreds of loyal hardworking employes their paychecks.
They know most people need to work to make a living so there will always be replacements. Its unfortunate that they exploit that fact but it is what it is. If they do it too much or go too far their reputation will plunder and they wont receive any good employees who have the skills needed trying to apply. They will only receive desperate employees who will likely mess up the job, need to be trained, etc etc. Thus slowing and dragging the company down. I somehow doubt the amount of people applying to work for budlight has stayed the same or increased after this scandal. They are losing profits, employees, and business in general. If the same amount of employees are applying there as to working for other beer manufacturers it would suprise me a little.

Modela is NOT owned by AHB. AHB distrbutes Modela in certain countries. But, not in the US. I work in a beer selling store in the US and Modela is brought to us by Modela, not Bud.

I am so glad that Cat pointed out that the outrage isn't just about Dylan...in fact the whole Dylan controversy was just what got people's attention...the real problem was the obvious contempt for their customer base that the horse faced marketing woman showed. She acted as if bud light's customers were beneath contempt and rather icky. She seemed to think bud could do better. This was followed by patronizing commercials that seemed back up the idea that they felt their customers were a bunch of Homer Simpsons. Had the CEO simply fired Miss Stnkybutt as soon as her video was released I think this whole thing could have been squashed. But he didn't. And that spoke volumes. Then had the parent company come in and fired the marketing team, including Miss Stinkybutt and the smarmy CEO, it could still have been salvaged. But they didn't. It's too late now. No coming back from this.

@@laniemay6090 That's not the metric you measure. The fact that Modelo moved from #2 spot to #1 spot isn't at all impressive, you gauge their market share which has lost a whopping almost 30 Billion dollars. That's catastrophic, especially with no end to their troubles in sight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't every successful business, in the final analysis, making the same thing.....money? Consumers are now expressing their dissatisfaction by cutting off the income of the company, and the responsibility for the layoffs doesn't fall on the consumer for" being mean and not buying our products", but on management, for making bad decisions, which includes attempting to sell a political agenda, instead of beer.

Wow! I called this at the beginning of the Mulvaney story. The executives at AB-Inbev wanted to shelve this brand and shut down the line.
They tried to be inclusive and expand their consumer base, but didn't realize that the only people who drink trash beer is trashy people. Their pandering couldn't make Libs want to drink that trash.
