I totally agree with Cinnabon. Their business is selling cinnamon buns, not advocating for political and social issues. They have EVERY RIGHT to ask their employees not to engage in either while they are at work. They can do it on their own time. If I was Cinnabon, I'd fire every single striking worker and hire a new one. It's not like it's skilled employment.

I've knew a person like the bullhorn user, but not he won't talk to me. It has something to do with who I voted for in 2016.
As a police officer I have a strict dress,visible tattoo, hair and facial hair code. I can't wear a pride pin in place of my badge or name plate, I'll get in deep kimchi. Even wearing one on my uniform would get me complained on, probably by the rainbow mafia because they have nothing better to do than file complaints on police officers. My dress is not up to me, it's up to my bosses and if I don't like that I can find a new employer.
All Cinnabon is doing is trying not to let their employees Bud Light them. That's a good business decision. I say fire them all for job abandonment and redecorate the employee space.
I'm so tired of trying to do business with a store where the employees make me feel like I'm intruding on them wanting them to do their job.

I worked fast food, retail, and then in the legal profession, I didn't know I was supposed to feel safe. I dressed in the dress code and worked as hard as I knew how. Then after work I had my life. My private life was my own business. I went for a paycheck, not validation.

The Cinnabon policy just reinforces my own policy of never wearing anything to work that identifies my beliefs, political or otherwise. Anything you wear that "identifies" you runs a 50% chance (approximately) of pissing off a customer, or worse still, your employer.

If I was close to this store, I would have to grab a group of friends and buy some MAGA hats and just go there an mill around not buying anything (obviously, the employees don't see Cinnabon as a place of employment). I had no idea the employees felt there place of employment was actually a political rallying point. Wearing pins in a place like that could also be a Food Safety issue! There are many rules that must be followed in the Food Industry! I know, I worked in that industry for eight years. We would have inspections and annual audits. As the Supervisor of the Receiving Warehouse, I had to make sure that everything from my paperwork to the warehouse materials were organized and we not not allowed to wear anything on our uniforms from the waist up, so as to not run the risk of anything falling in the product. No rings, piercings of any kind had to be removed, hair and beard nets must be properly worn when in any area of the building (except for the front office), etc.. So, these clowns need to shut up, grow up, get back to work or find a job somewhere else!

Y'all are making me hungry! OMG I have worked at least half a dozen different jobs by the time I was 20. All "corporate" low wage jobs. We all have to start somewhere. I NEVER complained. I showed up did my job and was thankful I had a means to provide for myself. Eventually I worked my way up to "better" jobs. Young people in the US can be so narcissistic and entitled. What they need is a reality check.

I use to work at a mall. The stir fry ladies would go to the restroom wearing gloves, and come out wearing the same gloves and go right back to mixing noodles with their hands.

Especially the homos because they can have all kids of sticky substances on their fingers, that have nothing to do with the food being prepped.
