    I am from the Philippines and I want to try producing my own broiler chickens. Its very expensive buying chicks in the market. It would be great if you will help me by answering my question Ma'am.

      Glad I could help. I think this is very sustainable way of having meet. The only thing thought, you need to have more than 1 laying hen as they do not lay may eggs (only about a 100 a year).

    This video gives me hope. I had hens but they died and rooster for a year and a half but crossed him with other breeds. Now I want to try a ratio of 4 : 10 roosters to hens. A restricted diet with probiotics is what I will try.

      Yes, definitely try it. They just need to be able to eat like regular laying hens and they will be happy an healthy. Good luck

      Look up ideal poltury hatchery or McMurray hatchery. They will have females or you can get a mix

    How many eggs does your Cornish hen lays in a week?

    • @TheBearWayTX
      @TheBearWayTX  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's about 1 to 2 eggs a week. They produce about 100 eggs a year

    Chickens are healthier free-ranging.

      If you let them forage and control their food intake they will be living a long good life.

    Update On Their growth?

    • @TheBearWayTX
      @TheBearWayTX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tonia. They did great we butchered them yesterday (the babies not the parents, the parents are doing great still) . They were around 10 pounds each 🤯🤯🤯 I know I had them for more than 8 weeks. But I just had no time to butcher them earlier.

      @@TheBearWayTX thank you. I would have loved to see them developed but totally appreciate it. So glad you made this video I’m gonna take your advice and try to do it also and just watch their feed intake.

      @TheBearWayTX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not sure how long they can live but as longest you keep the healthy, they should have a happy long life.
