Horse soldier has an excellent story. I was just at a liquor tasting and they had a table there. They were selling signed bottles of it. The Horse Soldier Barrel Strength was an okay whiskey. Nothing super mind blowing. A few days after 9/11 before the war officially started there were a group of Green Berets were in Afghanistan on horseback which is where the name comes from. Every plate on their bottles is crafted and pressed from steel from the World Trade Center which is wild. I want a bottle just for that reason and to also support these guys.
I’ve only seen them running around $70 by me. If I see them. I think I’ve seen it for $64.99 once. Sometimes at locally owned where they’re marked up I see single barrel selects around $50 🤣
That particular Jack Daniels is really good. Probably one of the better Jack Daniel's I've had. The version I picked up was a hero select, really cool bottle. Love your videos TJ!
@watchinyoutube8919 that one is Jack Daniel's single barrel barrel select. The bottom part of the tag will say select on it. The one I had was a 128 proof. Not sure how much you watch TJs videos but when he says that higher proof in those is better he ain't kidding.
@watchinyoutube8919 man yeah anytime sir! I'm not a JD fan but those selects at high proof are really good. I'm a high proof fan anyways though. Just opened a bottle of Maker's Mark Cellar Aged at 115.7 proof. Probably one of the best bourbons I've ever had.
Maker's mark is one of my go to whiskies, especially the cask strength and 101, but I agree with you, 46 just ain't it 😂 It's not terrible, but I'm not a French oak stave person either.
I’d love a tasting/breakdown in of some of Total Wines exclusive stuff. They have a lot of whiskeys you won’t see in any other store. They also have a sampling table to try some of them.
I found a 132.4 and was excited and it was up there with some of the best I’ve had this year. Then today same store has a 134.2 I got it as well. It is even better
Had the cheapest one (which is still like $50) and I wasn't impressed. Iirc it was interesting, mostly because it was very smooth and unintimidating in the beginning, with a surprisingly intense finish, but not sure I'd buy it again any time soon.
I’ll help you horse soldier was all right. My dad bought it for me for Christmas last year. I drank the whole bottle through the winter when I was sitting outside by the fire at night it’ll definitely warm you up.
I absolutely love the horse soldier straight bourbon whiskey, the other batches like the small batch and the full proof do not improve. I lucked out and got all three of them on sale for $45 and at that price I’m happy with each of the bottles. But when you see the full proof bottle at $115…that’s a hard pass.
Didn’t care for the horse solder. My wife and I did a blind taste test of about 6 bourbons all around the same proof and it was easily our least favorite
bro i been buying GIN from south africa that has xmas design and snowflakes with a bulit in strobe light at the bottom for $8.00 1/5 beats bombay, sergrams gilbeys and beefeaters GROCEY outlet I am bless !
Any shop these days that hasnt stepped into the 21st century and discovered vard does not get my business. There is ZERO reason for a store not to accept card nowadays without it coming down to WANTING TO MISREPRESENT THEIR FINANCES. No thank you.
I have a Jack Daniels with fear and a black flats in a metal tin. I think it was purchased in the late 80s and has never been open. Anybody have an idea what that’s worth?
I have a 200 year anniversary Jim Beam 1795, 1995 Limited edition commemorative deCantor still in the box and never open. I’ve never seen a bottle like this one. Does anyone know what it’s worth?
I’m from Australia. Our bottles don’t seem to have the proof on them. Anyone know why. Ours says 45% alcohol, is that the equivalent to Americas proof system. You should do a video about that
"We gonna rectify that though..." 😂

Did you seriously not buy a JD Single Barrel Barrel Strength for $55? 😢
My thought exactly
Thats cuz just last week he bought jd coy hill in michigan. I was thinking the same though 55 is so cheap
I’ve only seen them running around $70 by me. If I see them. I think I’ve seen it for $64.99 once. Sometimes at locally owned where they’re marked up I see single barrel selects around $50 🤣
Its 57$ at my local store
Ours is 59 so
The lower proof horse soilder is just okay but the higher stuff 130ish proof is fantastic.
Yooo thats Woodmans liquor store west side Madison WI!! Your cashier Evan is a good dude
Shoutout to woodmans.
That particular Jack Daniels is really good. Probably one of the better Jack Daniel's I've had. The version I picked up was a hero select, really cool bottle. Love your videos TJ!
What's it called? Just jack Daniels select?
@watchinyoutube8919 that one is Jack Daniel's single barrel barrel select. The bottom part of the tag will say select on it. The one I had was a 128 proof. Not sure how much you watch TJs videos but when he says that higher proof in those is better he ain't kidding.
@@zacharygarmany8927 awesome thanks! Appreciate your reply brother
Very happy to hear that about the JD Sinatra! I won it last night. 👍🏻

Horse soldier is great stuff
Woodmans is the best!!
I think I found my new favorite channel!
Dude your reference game has been on point lately 👌
Am I the only one here who doesn't drink at all yet enjoys this guy's videos?🤣
Same
Yeah he’s got a fun vibe and enjoys what he does, I don’t drink either but it’s interesting to hear about this stuff the way brewzle delivers it.
Good to see you in Wisco!!!
Shoutout to Woodmans for having a great liquor department!
That peerless dbl oak deserved to be taken home. The normal peerless feels like drinking silk. the viscosity is so unique.
I’d love a tasting/breakdown in of some of Total Wines exclusive stuff. They have a lot of whiskeys you won’t see in any other store. They also have a sampling table to try some of them.
I’m swayed to love my southern distillers but they are putting out some solid stuff up here in snowbird country.
I still got my Diner’s Club card that Telly Savalas sold me on in 1984
Woodman's, the best grocery store ever!
I found a 132.4 and was excited and it was up there with some of the best I’ve had this year. Then today same store has a 134.2 I got it as well. It is even better
Driftless Glen!
I absolutely love Horse soldier uncut. If you were to try one I’d recommend that one.
Horse soldier is all story for meh whiskey

@metaleggman18 my F&B director bought the story hook line and sinker, now my bar is sitting on 2 cases of all 3 versions that nobody is interested in.
They make decent gifts, especially if you sell the story.
Not even a great story. Average juice, below average story.
Can't wait to hear what you think of the Wollersheim Bottled-in-bond.
It's one of my favorites at the time!
Your bar looks like the shelves in my office except mine are all bongs. 😂
What is your favorite Redwood empire?
Redwood Empire cast strength!
@@martini007m thanks
@@martini007m what do you think of the pipe dream?
Pipe dream is excellent
And you didn't grab the Jack?!
Sinatra selection is the best man
Got tons of peerless double oaked at my store here in Nashville TN
Horse soldier is excellent juice. And the story is even better. The 97 proof signature terrific. 55 bucks you won't regret it.
Horse Soldier cask strength is GREAT!!
Horse soldiers is a great sipper
Recently tried MB Roland Dark fired on a friend's recommendation. Tastes like throat lozenge spray.
I’ll help you horse soldier was all right. My dad bought it for me for Christmas last year. I drank the whole bottle through the winter when I was sitting outside by the fire at night it’ll definitely warm you up.
I've had the Horse Soldier barrel strength and I enjoyed it.
Got my eye out for that single barrel JD
Smoke Wagon bourbon is very good. From Vegas.
TJ, the Horse Soldier bourbon gold and silver labels is a wheated bourbon. Go for the silver because it is the barrel strength version. JS.
Man I really want that Sinatra Select 🎙🥃
I spotted some Macallan single malt in there....❤
I live by MB Roland, they make a decent bottle here and there. Was just doing a tasting.
I absolutely love the horse soldier straight bourbon whiskey, the other batches like the small batch and the full proof do not improve. I actually hate Australia's taxing on liquor
"Sinatra Select for $189"
*Me crying at the bottle of Sinatra Select I have at work for $280AUD*
Damn them bottles be 3x the price here in Australia 😂 those first $5 ones are gonna be $30 easy..
I'll have you know my mother still uses a discover card 😂
You should try a white bourbon
Horse Soldier is Awesome.
That single barrel in my area right now is like 70 to 85.
Hey bruzle have you tried Penderyn it's a welsh whisky ?
Jack Daniel’s single barrel is my joint I can’t find it anywhere lol
Can you make these videos without the captions?? Great content
Try "The Duke"
I do 😂I have a Discover Card 😂
Ive enjoyed the horse soldier bourbon
You have to try the Godawan No 2 Fruit and Spice Single Malt Whiskey
Aren't their any small, independent whiskey makers in America anymore?
Didn’t care for the horse solder. My wife and I did a blind taste test of about 6 bourbons all around the same proof and it was easily our least favorite
46 is a solid option
You need to get horse soldier. It's amazing, especially for price
bro i been buying GIN from south africa that has xmas design and snowflakes with a bulit in strobe light at the bottom for $8.00 1/5 beats bombay, sergrams gilbeys and beefeaters GROCEY outlet I am bless !
Get in down to Texas and try some Balcones. They baby blue is a real good whiskey
I've been talking up Balcones on these vids for a while. I really want him to try it just out of a sense of Texas pride
Love Balcones!! Their single malt is different but man is it good!!
Turn around. The good stuff is behind you.
He can write off all his booze as business expense since thats the theme of his channel. Nice.
True, but he still has to buy them, and get paid later
There was Ardbeg, MacCallen, Lagavulin and much more
He’s not a scotch guy
Dude a JD Barrel proof for $55!!?!? I’ve only seen them going for $70 around me if I find them lol.
I have a request for you to try it's crown apple with apple juice
What about some cigar pairings with those.
If you have tried it, what is your honest opinion on Basil Hayden bourbon?
GO back and buy that JD!~!!!!!
Dancing Goat Distillery #1 in Wisconsin. Check it out!
I just picked up a JDSBBP with 131.7 for $64 so about 70 out the door. $55 there, that’s probably the lowest I’ve seen it
Any shop these days that hasnt stepped into the 21st century and discovered vard does not get my business. There is ZERO reason for a store not to accept card nowadays without it coming down to WANTING TO MISREPRESENT THEIR FINANCES. No thank you.
I saw ardbeg 10’s…….. 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
You will loove Peerless double oak rye
I got a 135.9 proof JDSBBP Just curious anyone seen higher? I’ve yet to find one
I have a Jack Daniels with fear and a black flats in a metal tin. I think it was purchased in the late 80s and has never been open. Anybody have an idea what that’s worth?
I love horse soldier
All hurrr durr patriotism is not enough actual quality juice.
I have a 200 year anniversary Jim Beam 1795, 1995 Limited edition commemorative deCantor still in the box and never open. I’ve never seen a bottle like this one. Does anyone know what it’s worth?
I can't stand the taste of alcohol, why do I keep watching all of this mans videos.
I’m from Australia. Our bottles don’t seem to have the proof on them. Anyone know why. Ours says 45% alcohol, is that the equivalent to Americas proof system.
You should do a video about that
200 proof is 100%. 100 proof is 50%. It goes like that
You just double the %number and that’s the proof
Yea right, cheers bro
It seems that the proof is the American standard, and outside of America, they have standardized with Alcohol %.
Bro why is whiskey in the us and what uk so fucking cheap bro in Aus a bottle of single barrel select bottle of Jack Daniels is around $115-$150
Hey an A A meeting is only 1$ alcohol is poison
Red Cabin is terrible
Agreed...Red Cabin isn't great, however...the Cabin Strength is really good.
Where were you
Woodman's
How do you know when the whiskey is really why does people pay $2,300
Have wanted to get the horse soldier, but have not seen a single good review on it… good story or not, life is too short for bad whiskey…
Woodmans
