    Another top review, most people that I know don't want "active safety" features. There is no evidence that these electronic warning chimes etcetera actually reduce accidents or deaths. In some cases I believe they could and have actually caused accidents, especially active type steering and braking. I have experienced this myself in a new lexus hire car this year. The car vigorous braked by itself as i was about to go around a tight corner, I was nearly rear ended by the car following. I was looking at ordering a Grenadier a couple of years ago before they had that huge price rise. I sold my FTE landcruiser and purchased a used RAM 1500 instead. The Grenadier looks like a great alternative except for the BMW engines, low carrying capacity and poor left foot room for the driver. I had a Defender 130 previously which is why I was keen for the Grenadier. The 130 is the best ute I have owned. All the best utes have coil suspension all around as does the Grenadier, Ram 1500, Defender and Patrol ST coil cabs.

      The BMW engine is excellent.

    The best alternative to an Ineos Grenadier is another, perhaps in a different colour. It is the best vehicle we have driven.
    The footwell is not an issue; set the seat right. A furphy, you never wanted one if you think like that!
    With Ineos, you get so much value that little extra is needed.

    Saw my first ineos grenadier (wagon) yesterday, actually a pretty good looking vehicle IRL. I'd definitely love to own one.

    Nice one Matt. Thank you. The clowns at Carsales simply have NFI. I even left my final comment by saying I’ll just save time and go to your channel. This one’s not for me as apart from loving the airplane like instrumentation, it just looks a bit fugly. I’ll keep my Raptor for the off-road stuff, although the BYD offering at least wants me to test drive it. 👍😎🇦🇺

    Hope they upgrade it soon

    I love the interior of these cars. As much as I very much prefer the interior on newer Chinese utes over the old roller bin plastic cheapness with some remaining dials you find in japanese and american utes and offroad vehicles, old school switches as Ineos use are still king. If you are going to commit, commit.

    Matt, was there an actual issue with the 4wd selector or would it not shift because you had the vehicle in Park. Did you try putting the gearbox in neutral

    • @reubs91
      @reubs91 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, it would have been good to see him rock the vehicle back and forward to see if it would go in.

    • @PRINCEDOG
      @PRINCEDOG 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ yeah for sure. I’ve test driven a grenadier but not off road so I didn’t try locking the centre diff or putting it in low range so I’m not sure if it needs to be in neutral for it to work. It was just a thought and he didn’t seem to address the issue in the video.

    • @mikefoster7085
      @mikefoster7085 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@PRINCEDOG You can put the centre diff lock in at speed, goes in easily, low needs N selected first

    • @ianweal3081
      @ianweal3081 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Zero wrong with collar of selector, it's purely operator error.
      4WD into low range, MUST be in NEUTRAL in all vehicles with transfer case (simple mechanics, input drive must be released prior).
      Strange thing was, he'd known that, as he did utilise low range in sand (stated in video) the previous day. Simple stuff up in the anxiousness of the moment. Obviously the vehicle is more than capable of doing it, but Matt in a moment 🤔😥😅, Not So Capable.

    Biggest concern is the W engine may be fine in Europe with greater access to parts but here in Oz this will become an issue eventually. However if buy new and only keep for the length of the lease could be ok.
