someone spoke my mind efforts and world building in Kalki are top notch but basic emotional connect is somewhat missing

Yes brother. Whatever you told is very much ture.... The world building is so great and tremendous efforts put in..... But the same effort should had also been given to writing. The genuine mass feel which we had for the climax towards prabas character. We dint have the same feel on the start.... Emotionally connecting with the characters are equally important..... But our cinemas will change after this movie.... We will enter a new age of Indian cinemas ahead.....
I liked the way u started your review, u are the very first person to point out the world building effort went into the film. The few reviews which I have watched never mentions world building. Am sure that the so called reviewers not even aware of the word ‘world building’.

Absolutely right sir. I think the major problem of the film is that it was emotionally distant. One of the reasons I felt that could be the mediocre BGM score playing out in the sad scenes.

Actually ppl Dont understand Roxie character is the medium to show the grandeur of Complex as Bairava was able to go inside complex..only thing is Cameos could have been reduced..
If you not feel the situation mean the background score worst . Music is the important to feel the situation .

In many scenes even i thought what is the use of attacking ashwathama? He is a chiranjeevi and never gonna die. I think to solve this director brought karnan into the story. Once prabhas gains the consciousness of karnan he becomes unstoppable with vijaya dhanush in his hand and that's the reason why he was able to take deepika away from ashwathama. Defeating ashwathama is not possible for a normal human being and there is demand for a person who is damn powerful as ashwathama and that's karna the greatest warrior...

The voice over for bujji character is very annoying and they might have gone for google assistant or Amazon voice 😂😂 and prabhas starting scenes might have been avoided otherwise very good film

Movie's intention is not to make us emotionally connect... It's not about being critically correct.. it's about world building, telling a story with visual spectacle... And it's a Telugu movie...
Of course if you enjoy hollywood stuffs, but nonwhere near Bahubali or KGF or even Vikram in terms of writing
@@SibinGeorgeK to be honest I know which movies to look for art of story telling through writing, which movies to look for story telling through great screenplay, which movies for commerical elements, which movies for thrilling elements and which movies for story telling through just visual spectacle... And I watch movies with the angle from what the director is presenting the movie..
@@balu8885 Good , but for me its an extra burden to think from directors pov, so I enjoy the scripts drive us through the movie than game like settings (only) that separates us from the movie

However director presents a trailer so you know what to expect from what movies and also if you watch interviews so u get to know how this movie going to be.. some times they deceive.. but as per as kalki.. I just got better than what I expected especially the first half world building, surprising cameos, ending with meaningful action that stayed connected to the story... If you don't get what director is trying to convey and still blame them then no one can do anything. Anyway there is no perfect movie or no movie can satisfy 100%

I think they just tried to be relevant to the movie's time period. Take example of our life today, we use the same level of gadgets and mobile phones like westerners do. We are not copying their lifestyle here. It is the way of life. A gun looks like a gun in America and in India as well. We don't have our own designs here. The same way, the weapons and accessories would be same across the world even in future.I don't take it as a copy. In history, we definitely had unique weopons in India. But you don't have to compare it with future.
