Professor Pattarachai Kiratisin is Vice President for Research at Mahidol University. He received an M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Rochester (USA).
This was followed by Postdoctoral Fellowships in Molecular Genetics from Stanford University (USA) and Clinical Microbiology from the National Institutes of Health (USA), and a Diploma in
Clinical Pathology.
He was appointed Professor of Microbiology and later Distinguished Professor. He was previously Chairman of the Department of Microbiology, and the Director of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management.
