This event focused on the challenges, barriers, and opportunities which arise in global collaborations. The event looked in particular at partnerships between Higher Education Institutions within Africa and the Global North.
Our guest speakers, Dr H. Titilola Olojede, Dr Khamisi Musanje and Dr Matthew Elliott shared their experiences and insights on navigating the complexities of these cross-regional collaborations, addressing the persistent issues of unequal power dynamics, resource disparities, and the underrepresentation of Global South voices in global knowledge production.
Together, they explored how to foster more inclusive global partnerships that enable all contributors to become equitable co-creators of knowledge resulting from such partnerships; ultimately for the benefit of all.
This webinar offered a unique opportunity to learn practical strategies for understanding barriers and reimagining global partnerships that prioritise equity, shared leadership, and respect for diverse perspectives.
