japanese school festivals are a great way of showing the young Gen in leadership and working in groups. kinda like opening their own businesses. it's way cooler than the western side of the world.

+Aleksandra Michalak What I would recommend is first going to college in your country and taking Japanese classes first. Depending on your college, you can actually get the chance to go to school over in Japan as a foreign exchange student, but for a limited time. Plus, by the time you go there, you'll already be knowledged with Japanese, as well as basics on their culture
+RuiMRC23 Although I was a high school student 25 years ago, there is much different from that time. we enjoyed the concerts of the rock groups (of course members were students only) And my high school was public.
