Keith, I used an old Robart air pump but I don't think you can purchase these anymore. I'd recommend any manual air pump for athletic balls that are easily purchased at Walmart or a sporting goods store for just a few dollars. Generally, you only need one or two pumps from these. A small length of tubing will be needed to connect the needle from the pump to the supplied nipple for inflation. This can be simple fuel tubing and some zip ties to secure. Again, we are only using very low pressure here.
Should you use Ballistol Multi-Purpose Oil, Aerosol spray to lubricate the axle? It is a non-petroleum base oil and shouldn't bother the plastic wheel hub.
