Hi Paul, I've been watching your videos for a little while now, but I usually don't comment. With that said, I felt the need to let you know how much I enjoy your videos! I look forward to your Sun./Wed. shave videos and you always make me smile and laugh!! :) You have to be the most positive/happy wet-shaver on TH-cam and that's certainly a compliment. I think we all could benefit from adopting a little "PaulHFilms attitude".... Mrs. H. may surely disagree, kidding of course. :) But seriously, not only are your videos enjoyable and offer insight on wet shaving, but your light-hearted & optimistic demeanor is something to aspire to. Very nice shave and video... I look forward to Sunday's... Thanks!!
Thank you Paul for sharing time, I can just imagine what the witch hazel & aftershave smell like ☺. You're genre us man. Tell Mrs. her flowers are beautiful.
Excellent video Paul. I used my 1963 Slim Adjustable with a Feather blade yesterday. The Feather has become my favorite blade to use with my vintage Gillette razors as it works very well with them and provides close and comfortable shaves.
Paul, I really love how you mix it up with budget and pricier products. I have the Palmolive stick, and look forward to trying the cream someday. It looks great. Lovely flowers, as usual, and your pleasant attitude is always good.
I love the vintage Gillette's and the Slim Adjustable is and probably always will be my favorite DE razor. I can always find a blade and setting that works for me, I was happy to see you use it once again. All the best to you and Mrs H, she has a real talent for flower arranging, Jeff
Thank you Paul. Very entertaining. Looking forward to see His Lordship. Thank you Mrs H for spending spondulas on those flowers which are so much enjoyed.
Sunday- Wednesday. Time flies so fast. With your interesting videos it flies more quickly.) Good, old Palmolive, all for pleasure.) Flowers: Gerbera, Carnations, Gypsophila) this is great.
Great stuff Paul, the voice of wisdom & reason in an otherwise crazy world 🙄👍 A very nice shave, I always enjoy the look on your face when it's the turn of the Palmolive. Lovely arrangement of flowers from your good lady, beautifully if only partially described by your good self 😌👏
Great shave, beautiful flowers, nice chat. I noticed you like the mentholated stuff. I'm not a fan of menthol, when it comes about shaving, but today I received a great product. An after shave cream, from Japan. So mentholated, you can feel it with your eyes. Very powerful. And a great calming, refreshing effect. Very cheap, too.
Wonderful razor got a 65 Slim same year as my dear mother was born. Tried higher settings 6 or 7 but found that with even lighter touch 5 is the cats pajamas. I use Astras in mine and fine I get superb Shaves.
Hi Paul, watched this earlier here in Australia and when I got home I also shaved with the Palmolive classic, great cream and another great shave by you.
I love palmolive and its smell and I hope they keep making it. I can confirm that double chins are available on E Bay but there are only twenty three left.
I also like the Palmolive stick, been using is for 25+ years. I personally think the scent of the stick is a little nicer compared to the cream scent. Unfortubnately where I live, local shops have disconinued to sell it, but I can stock up buying online.
I found the sticks for cheap from a uk store....got 20 of them for super cheap. free shipping to anywhere over 50 bux....got 4 tubes as well. I'm set for a while:)
Hi Paul! Great shave video, thank you! Tell Mrs H we all appreciated the beautiful bouquet! I am surprised to hear you didn't like Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, considering the strong citrus scent in it. Personally, I love to wear that one. They make an amazing shave soap and cream in that scent. The one I'd REALLY recommend though is their Sartorial shave soap. It smells like a really dressed up, super fancy Brut! I should add that the performance is second to none to, though YMMV. Sartorial soap was the product that got me into Penhaligon's in the first place, now I have several I wear regularly. :) Well, I hope you have a great week. Thanks again for the great video!
Thanks Ben, the only trouble I find in Penhaligon's is I get overwhelmed with different scents, so probably would like Blenheim, I like to smell one, go away re-smell it, and then decide......have a great week too....Paul.
Lol, it cracks me up every time you say, "are you still there?". Very funny. On radio Wales this morning they were talking about the Denbigh food show/fair on this Saturday. Apparently Denbigh Plums are very popular. Sounds like an amusing video opportunity. :)
Yes the Denbigh Plum as a fruit is very well known, and quite rare these days to see a plum tree of that variety, they are superb plums.....the food show is a great event, so much local produce and what quality it is too....shame I was working during it.....all the best....Paul.
Hi Paul just another one of your fans from the states, Joliet, Illinois to be exact. Just wanted to say I love your videos they are very funny and relaxing, not to mention great review content. Upon your recommendation I have purchased the Parker 96r which I love, as well as the Proraso green shave soap which is awesome. Will definitely try to get my hands on this Palmolive shave cream. Any how keep up the great job, oh and let Mrs. H know the lovely flower arrangements are appreciated.
you can actually go to bath and bodyworks and get the CO Bigelow men shaving cream. It's the exact same thing as Proraso Green and even made by Proraso just packaged differently.
The Penhaligon's that I think a lot of wet shavers would like is Sartorial. Not sure if you've tried that one yet, Paul, but to my nose is smells like an upper class take on Brut Faberge. It has that same sort of profile, but it's just way more robust and you can pick up a lot more of these little details. One of the most perfect barbershop types of scents out there.
Been in the Chester Penhaligan shop myself have you checked the wee cigar shop further back from them you almost miss the entrance got merkur razors etc
hi. i tried this first time not so good but second time amazing got it nice and thick. yes paul your not alone with a thick lather. i find a thick lather for the chin and under the nose works well
Great video Paul, I was just thinking of the Palmolive shaving cream the other day and realised it was a long time since I've used it, fantastic stuff like you say a great all rounder. - all the best Mark.
Excellent Paul..I always think of when I'm a child when I use this shaving cream. I was given a bottle of a aftershave called Zadig & Voltaire. This is Him...it's a absolutely lovely smell...everyone in the office was like "What is that smell" last time they were like that I had my Creed on...I know you like your Sandalwood smell...so I'm sure you will like this...get a tester!! it's mid priced so no need to break the bank 😉. Hope all is well, Mark.
Thanks Mark, will check that aftershave out, sounds great, I was sent the Creed Aventus, and that was superb, Mrs H pinched it actually...lol...all the best....Paul.
So Mrs H is a bit of a tea leaf..haha. The small section I work in within the office is fully Zadig & Voltaired up now since I dished out the free samples this morning. It's great to have that positive wearing smell again...my Pinaud Clubman aftershave doesn't get the same kind of reaction 😉.
Good shave yet again Paul, been sick for awhile over here in Canada. Haven't shaved for about a week, I'm thinking I'm having a mentholated shave tonight to peel off all the stubble. Have a good rest of the week. See you next video.
very weddeny Mrs H if there is such a word lol love my Gillette slim adjustable Palmolive is my all time fav soap and the cream is amazing, used the soap most of my life you would never notice Churchill's aftershave for the cigar smoke lol
Gorgeous Flowers Mrs H ! Roses , Baby's Breath , Carnations , fall Mums I think . That razor makes me think of Donaldnavygoat , hope he's better . Great Shave ! Oh His Lordship ! Are you going to be his valet Paul ? ;^ )) He's So Funny ! I bet he's tough to deal with . Royals ... , you know . Boy I love that Lather ! Actually looks like TOBS St James Luxury (extra thick and creamy) . Have a Great Week Paul ! Love the vids ! Thank you !
brilliant video as always paul, not sure what part of Wales you live but I found a shop in Carmarthen that sells wet shave gear mainly Parker razors and Taylor of old bond Street. thanks again for the videos
I enjoy the chats as well, Paul. Almost lathered your eyeball a couple times. 😜 LOL. Have a great rest of the week. See ya Sunday. By the way, my wife made some bread pudding with homemade custard after watching your vid on your other channel. Amazing! Cheer.
Pretty good shave today, definitely a BBS, but a little bit of redness on the lower neck by the adam's apple. It doesn't feel sore, but I suppose I used a touch too much pressure. Ah well, I'm still excited because today I have more shaving goodies coming in the mail. New blades to try and even a shavette! Mainly bought the shavette to trim/shape facial hair (if and when I decide to grow some) but I may do full shaves with it if I fancy it. I've read it's more aggressive than a straight, but I expect with a good slick lather, good prep, and sharp blades it'll only take a few weeks to master.
Good shave Paul...classy flowers...Have you ever heard of running a new blade through a cork....Takes the edge off a new blade for a smoother shave...better or just different from a progress razor...,Cheers!
Great stuff (as usual) Paul! I used a feather in my Edwin Jagger DE89 this morning and didn't realise that I'd put a feather in it (which I did at the weekend) until I took it apart to clean and dry and was surprised. What a great shave I got from the combination of the that razor, blade and the Nivea Sensitive shave cream. I gave it a Sumner Shave Score of 93. You mention vintage razors - I thinking about investing in one and would like your input and advice? Any suggestions? OH - And my PAA Bakerlite arrived this morning so I'll be shaving with that tomorrow. Look forward to seeing His Lordship again very soon - cheers for the laughs Paul!!
Great shave Mike, in regards to vintage, I would say Gillette Slim Adjustable or Fatboy......or even a single edge.....plenty of choice thankfully....so good luck.....Paul.
The Slim....It is a nice adjustable, nothing too aggressive, the Futur is aggressive whatever setting it's on, the progress would be next to the Futur in aggression, Black Beauty is another nice shave..thanks....Paul.
Good video. I have a question for you-I am a relative novice at wet shaving at about three years. I am a slow collection builder and only have three razors so far. I found a guy who is selling a Fatboy and a Slim-which would you prefer to buy and how would you grade their relative aggressiveness? Thanks for making these videos!
Actually these razors aren' that far apart from each other in regards to shaving....The Fatboy is slighlty heavier, and maybe in my opinion more aggressive only slightly though....I always wanted a Fatboy or Executive as they were known as in the UK....but I love the Slim Adjustable and would probably pick that...all the best...Paul.
I've recently bought a slim adjustable but i've notice that the blade gap is a little uneven . On 1:34 I saw that your slim has a similar uneven blade gap and i was wondering if that makes any difference when you shave.
In honesty I have never noticed that , and never had any issues regarding the shave from it, one of my favourite razors too.....thanks and all the best....Paul.
Hi Paul , why is it called a slim adjustable? btw i entered a competition that my mate ken surfs was doing , one of the prizes was a black beauty . Btw you hit the nail on the head , i tend to subscribe to most channels that take my fancy , but if the channel owner cant be bothered to at least once in awhile put input back to their viewers i tend to unsubscribe . Like you say its a two way street . Thanks again for brightening up my day .
Loved that video Paul Hilarious!!! Make sure you learn to speak before His Lordship pays a visit! I trust you will give him his mug back....you had better hide the PPS (Palmolive Peasant Soap) better still give him some and tell him it's from Bond Street 😃
I bet his Lordship doesn't get his mucking words fuddled up. Good shave, if it wasn't for your videos introducing people to a better way of shaving there'd be a lot of bearded men and some women no doubt.

Another great shave Paul. You're a pleasure to watch. Good banter, demonstrating good products. Top stuff.
Thank you Paul for sharing time, I can just imagine what the witch hazel & aftershave smell like ☺. You're genre us man. Tell Mrs. her flowers are beautiful.
another WOW shave with beautiful flowers as always :)
An efficient, casual shave, Paul. That brush is well appointed, and performs well. Well wishes to Mrs H for the spectacular arrangement.
Excellent video Paul. I used my 1963 Slim Adjustable with a Feather blade yesterday. The Feather has become my favorite blade to use with my vintage Gillette razors as it works very well with them and provides close and comfortable shaves.

Great stuff Paul, the voice of wisdom & reason in an otherwise crazy world 🙄👍
A very nice shave, I always enjoy the look on your face when it's the turn of the Palmolive.
Lovely arrangement of flowers from your good lady, beautifully if only partially described by your good self 😌👏
Another GREAT and FUNNY video Paul.
Great shave and cream, what a lather! You are so right, it's all about the process (so enjoyable).
Hi from Italy. A great video. Thank you Paul.
Great shave, beautiful flowers, nice chat. I noticed you like the mentholated stuff. I'm not a fan of menthol, when it comes about shaving, but today I received a great product. Paul great video. You are wonderfully crazy, don't ever change.
Just got my '61 Fatboy and I'm loving the shaves with Feather's! Enjoy the videos!
Palmolive is the best, I've just bought 5 sticks of the stuff from local supermarket. All the best.
My one Palmolive stick is now the smallest soap stick I have. Wonderful stuff, and at a great price!
flash boredom i purchased the soap also cant wait go use it. Scent is second to none.
I also like the Palmolive stick, been using is for 25+ years. I personally think the scent of the stick is a little nicer compared to the cream scent. Unfortubnately where I live, local shops have disconinued to sell it, but I can stock up buying online.
+James Lang one of the cleanest scents around love the smell when it fills the bathroom.
I found the sticks for cheap from a uk store....got 20 of them for super cheap. free shipping to anywhere over 50 bux....got 4 tubes as well. I'm set for a while:)

Great vid! Love the Palmolive cream. Amazing performance for the price. I also have the Slim which may be the best razor ever!
Thanks very much.
i have a good shave today. Learnt a lot from your video. Mr. Paul do you own a flower shop or what? lovely flowers as always.
nice video down to earth guy good luck with your channel
Good shave yet again Paul, been sick for awhile over here in Canada. Haven't shaved for about a week, I'm thinking I'm having a mentholated shave tonight to peel off all the stubble. Have a good rest of the week. See you next video.
Hope your feeling better and enjoy the shave.

North Wales Edwin.....thanks.
I enjoy the chats as well, Paul. Almost lathered your eyeball a couple times. 😜 LOL. Have a great rest of the week. See ya Sunday. By the way, my wife made some bread pudding with homemade custard after watching your vid on your other channel. Amazing! Cheer.
Fantastic you enjoyed the bread and butter pudding...nice eh....have a great week.
YOur doing things the right way there, the shavette is less forgiving than a straight razor, very aggressive....good luck with future shaves....Paul.
You nailed it! Sometimes simple is better....BTW, my cats are the same; one particular with the up and down then wide eyed stare... :D
Funny aren' they...lol.
Thanks Paul and Mrs H
I am, for the moment, using Palmolive Sensitive and I like it very much.
Have You tried it?
Ken from Sweden
Not tried that one Ken, sounds interesting.....thank you.
Good shave Paul...classy flowers...Have you ever heard of running a new blade through a cork....Takes the edge off a new blade for a smoother shave...better or just different from a progress razor...,Cheers!
HI Paul! Have you heard Parker is releasing an adjustable razor soon? Any interest in that one?
Yes heard in the comments here, will look into one yes.
Another super video Paul, and will his lordship be making another video anytime soon?
Yes, he will be visiting me I think sometime when he is free... lol.
His lordship probably made you stay in the woods because he found out you had his mug! LOL Nice shave Paul!
Great shave Mike, in regards to vintage, I would say Gillette Slim Adjustable or Fatboy......or even a single edge.....plenty of choice thankfully....so good luck.....Paul.
hello sir, excuse me, where did you buy the Arko cream? greetings sir and congratulations for your channel i watch your videos daily
The best place for Arko is Amazon or eBay....thanks for watching the videos.
How does the Slim Adjustable's range of aggression compare with other adjustable razors, e.g. the Futur, Progress, FatBoy, Black Beauty, etc.?
The Slim....It is a nice adjustable, nothing too aggressive, the Futur is aggressive whatever setting it's on, the progress would be next to the Futur in aggression, Black Beauty is another nice shave..thanks....Paul.
Smellavision baby!!!!!
Hahahahahahahaha! You've cheered me up no end! Terrific vid!
That brush blooms well when against the face would anyone know of a brush with similar spread?
I'm not sure as this was sent as a gift to me....but hopefully some of the brush experts may know.
hi Paul have you seen the latest video from TSE about blooming he says never bloom your soaps or creams watch the video
No not seen that, I know some people say it wastes soap etc....but for what I use it has served me well so far....thanks Salina.
Do you think they will let us bring our shave gear to the mental? you know I had my hand out to get some. lol
Yes they would let us I think..lol.
Thanks Mark, hope you get lucky with the competition.....and I think it is important to let people know you appreciate them...all the best....Paul.
your the tops Paul , look forward to peeking into your shenanigans in all their forms :O)
You crack me up!
Loved that video Paul Hilarious!!! Make sure you learn to speak before His Lordship pays a visit! I trust you will give him his mug back....you had better hide the PPS (Palmolive Peasant Soap) better still give him some and tell him it's from Bond Street 😃
Churchill's scent should smell like ... I dunno , Resolve ? with a touch of Havana cigar and a dash of Scotch Whiskey !
Very true...lol.
I bet his Lordship doesn't get his mucking words fuddled up. Good shave, if it wasn't for your videos introducing people to a better way of shaving there'd be a lot of bearded men and some women no doubt.
Hi Paul , don't know if you have heard and I know you like the Paker razors coming soon cannot wait : instagram.com/p/BK1FOcODn-z/
Thanks, no I didn't know about that razor....looks great.
