Glentress has NEW MTB trails and they are amazing! | Scotland

- Go Pro runs and footage of the new natural MTB trails at Glentress in Tweed Valley, finishing off with a classic trail (Ponduro) at the end. There are another couple of trails that I haven't filmed in this episode just up from this too. There's so much to ride! All natural, rooty and pretty damn muddy!
Trails are Careless Whisper, Skullduggery and finishing on the established Ponduro. You can check out my Strava for the trails or do some exploring on the hillside along from Zoom or Bust.
/ strava (this also includes a run of the blacks in the middle. It was a pretty good route!). I've got other separate Strava routes from GT which will have some of the other trails too.

Does anyone know how the uplift works at Glentress please? I have been to Bike Park Wales and they take you to the top but looking at the map for Glentress, its not clear where the uplift takes you and where you descend to - apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious or this is a noddy question - thanks
Afraid I’ve not done the uplift at glentress so can’t comment on how often it goes etc but do know it doesn’t go to the top for the start of most of the trails. You can access the lower trail centre trails but would still need to do a fair bit of pedalling to get to most of the stuff especially the natural ones

Thanks! Sure, we use Powerdirector. At the start I was between that and Filmora which I heard is good too but have had a good experience with this one :)

Thanks! They really come alive in the mud. Phenomenal amounts of grip and confidence, especially in the corners. Good braking traction too. Pretty perfect for a UK winter!

When I done Careless whisper is was an absolute mud fest. Jammed up the wheels. Looks a completely different trail now.
Thanks! It is - the first half is pretty sloppy but then it just gets crazy fast and much drier. Ahh yeah when careless was newer earlier in the year it was mad haha the mud was so thick! Quite different now - really bedded in.

Hi, those trails look soooooo good. Do you find this stuff on trail forks etc. I get so sucked into trail centres because I do t know the area and want to make sure I get loads of smiles per gallon.

They really are! Well worth checking out :). It varies for me depending on location, sometimes riding with friends or yep trailforks! Most of the trails around the tweed valley are on it and almost all will deliver smiles!
