What I love about cooking is, despite what many will say, there's no right and wrong. Who actually dictates this is bad? If the food is not spoiled or rotten or bringing harm to the one who's eating, than creativity is the chef! Whether the old fashioned way or this, I'd have fun eating ❤
It's not about that guys. It's the risk of cross contamination that has everyone concerned. That's one of the first and most important things you learn about when you first start cooking. You can use fresh food YES ABSOLUTELY but me actually being someone who worked in a restaurant kitchen knows for a fact that you CANNOT touch fresh after touching raw meat before sanitizing your hands and changing your gloves, cutting boards, knives, etc. Otherwise you risk getting everyone extremely sick. Not saying this person didn't do that but not showing their knowledge of that is just as bad. Everyone doesn't have the common sense to know what's wrong with this, so someone out there is gonna try to repeat this and get someone terribly ill. That's why people are upset about this video.
The food looks delicious but I want spaghetti and meatballs not a big cheeseburger with bacon and spaghetti that you can cut with a knife. It's not a bad dish you can't spend your spaghetti around the fork. Juicy spaghetti for me. I would make that roll for a party but would not call it spaghetti. I would cook noodles first and drain of starch
@@aalex6433 Yes, rinse your spaghetti/macaroni/noodles only a bit though rather than not rinsing at all, she never totally rinsed it out completely. Also, it does depend on "your" preferences, yet that's how it was done in our home & our family since the 60's when I was a youngster is all that I know.
Have to try it and see because im almost positive i can see pasta cooked at all sorts of different degrees of doneness; maybe even some not done at all.

This recipe edged my teeth. I had a boyfriend who was Italian and his mother came here from Sicily. I can just hear them now! They would have ranted for days in Italian!❤
So I tried this the other night except I made a few changes. I omitted the BBQ sauce, rub, and bacon. I placed the hamburger and tomato sauce in a saute pan and let it simmer and placed the spaghetti in a separate pot and let that cook until tender. I then put everything together on my plate. Added a little parm and viola! Amazingly, it turned out perfectly and very close to how I usually cook spaghetti. 😊

I completely love this video and every ingredient you used. However.,, I followed you step by step and for some reason my spaghetti noodles didn’t get done.., I don’t understand why. There was plenty of juice from the ground beef.. any idea what I might have done wrong? I did use angel hair pasta maybe since it’s thinner it didn’t cook properly? I don’t know . Если просто сверху наматывать куски фольги, то всё равно сок в процессе будет вытекать, что и случилось, судя по замене противня - в духовку убирали с одним, на стол ставили с другим. 😊

I made it in a smaller size using angel hair pasta. I used grated mozzarella because I can't get fresh where I live and so added 2 tbs of half and half. Roa's marinara is pricey but I'm not impressed with its flavor. Try Scimeca's Marina sauce which I'll do next time. Tasted very good. This morning my Blood Pressure is high Lol

This looks amazing! I've never thought of using bbq sauce before. I usually use plain old spaghetti sauce but I add mustard to the beef. It comes out delicious to be honest. Thanks for sharing.
It was very interesting to watch because i wanted to see how ALL of the ground beef would turn out. I don't eat ground beef anymore, and if i did i would NEVER use THAT much meat to cook spaghetti. Taste is like the eye of the beholder not for everyone but I would like to try it at least once it looked fantastic and in Italian cooking from the north to the south to every part of the world there is always more than one way. Mangia! Mangia!
Boil spaghetti until it pulls apart similar to a rubber band. Drain pot and cool off noodles with cold water to prevent them from overlooking. Drain water and spray noodles with olive oil. Cook sauce (usually before cooking noodles) however you choose. I like Prego or Ragu sauce, then add meat already cooked and rinsed off. Add whatever else you want to, as in onions, bell peppers, herbs, tomatoes, sausage, olives etc. This allows you to place noodles on a plate and add as much sauce as you like. Then top with your favorite cheese. Far easier and better.
@@lessbs I learned that from a old Italian guy when I was a manager at a Pizza/Spaghetti all you can eat buffet. Rinsing the noodles with cold water is used to stop the cooking process, so the noodles don't turn to mush. Spraying with olive oil enables you to place the cold dry noodles in a large covered bowl without them drying out, or sticking together. If you don't cool the noodles the ones in the middle of the pot are still so hot you can't put your fingers into them. They will overcook. You can simply run hot water over the noodles you want to use inside a strainer. This keeps your noodles perfectly cooked until you need them.
With a fee adjustments. Spread out the pasta more (mix in the sauce). Drop the BBQ sauce and bacon. Maybe ketchup on the glaze or marinara same as the inside. Stays italian but NO BBQ sauce
My neighbor cooked this for her large family and myself and my brother and it was delicious! She did it just like he did except for the basil she didn't have fresh she tweaked it with garlic and additional seasonings and it turned out great the kids got a kick out of watching her put this together we all got "Dinner and a Show"❤

I will try it sometime. But the traditional method, cooking the sauce for at least 4 hours, hudge garden salad and french garlic bread is how I set the hook in my wife of 25 years. The $40 bottle of wine may have helped.😊
Agreed! I would have added sugar to some marinara on the side rather than use BBQ sauce. Sweet spaghetti is popular in Asian cuisine, and it's tasty. Just for the outside caramelization anyway!

Speaking as a professional CHEF, this recipe looks outrageous & honestly I bet it tastes amazing. I would like to see how the pasta turned out. I would have seasoned the meat when he made the well to put the dry noodles in as well as the additional seasoning once he closed beef log & wrapped it in bacon. I was gonna try this but a little different. Does the noodles not cook?? I wanted to add more sause instead of BBQ and without the bacon. Then use 3lb of meat and season it before I do anything. Would that work??

I made this but I changed it up a little. I used 3lbs of hamburger and made a huge meatball instead of just plain hamburger. I omitted the bacon and bbq sauce and rub, but I added uncooked sweet Italian links and stuffed them inside. I added a little marinera on top before I wrapped up the aluminum foil. It was unbelievably delish!
He used a small tray to put in oven the log didn't fit it was coming out from both ends then he supposedly takes it out tray is bigger it's superclean Grease always Sips out regardless of Aluminum specially with all that Cheese and Hamburger and Bacon there was no sign of messy grease anywhere it is Grose for my Personal Preference 🚫☢️⛑️

Looks interesting...I was really into it till the BBQ sauce came out and then butter rub..but it did give me some ideas that I would try with this recipe...which would include...onions, bell peppers and garlic..probably would add some more marinara sauce in place of your BBQ sauce ..still would debate the bacon....but I know me.. Amazing recipe, but have to agree w/others in that the spaghetti noodles looked caked or not cooked all the way. The color may be due to the sauce, but I would've "layered" The noodles and sauce to make sure they were covered well. The big surprise was adding the Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce (my personal fav). I was a little stunned at the amount of what looked like kosher salt and a rub that I suspect had a lot of salt as well. I get that hamburger needs to be seasoned but I'm thinking that could be decreased. Taste, like art, is subjective to the consumer and cook. It was a huge chunk of meat that could've fed a family for a while, consider that he's specifying the size for a party. I'm still a little skeptical about fitting that into an oven. 😊

It does look absolutely yummy. And this brand of mozzarella is my favorite cheese in the whole world and I'm a cheese connoisseur. The pasta looked undercooked to me. A lot less than Al Dente. I know, everybody has adifferent taste I understand that. Thank you so much for this video.❤

Если просто сверху наматывать куски фольги, то всё равно сок в процессе будет вытекать, что и случилось, судя по замене противня - в духовку убирали с одним, на стол ставили с другим. 😊

I made it in a smaller size using angel hair pasta. I used grated mozzarella because I can't get fresh where I live and so added 2 tbs of half and half. Roa's marinara is pricey but I'm not impressed with its flavor. Try Scimeca's Marina sauce which I'll do next time. Tasted very good. This morning my Blood Pressure is high Lol

This looks amazing! I've never thought of using bbq sauce before. I usually use plain old spaghetti sauce but I add mustard to the beef. It comes out delicious to be honest. Thanks for sharing.
It was very interesting to watch because i wanted to see how ALL of the ground beef would turn out. I don't eat ground beef anymore, and if i did i would NEVER use THAT much meat to cook spaghetti. The best looking part was the mozzarella cheese. Thanks for sharing, im always looking for new recipes.

Taste is like the eye of the beholder not for everyone but I would like to try it at least once it looked fantastic and in Italian cooking from the north to the south to every part of the world there is always more than one way. Mangia! Mangia!
Boil spaghetti until it pulls apart similar to a rubber band. Drain pot and cool off noodles with cold water to prevent them from overlooking. Drain water and spray noodles with olive oil.
Cook sauce (usually before cooking noodles) however you choose. I like Prego or Ragu sauce, then add meat already cooked and rinsed off. Add whatever else you want to, as in onions, bell peppers, herbs, tomatoes, sausage, olives etc.
This allows you to place noodles on a plate and add as much sauce as you like. Then top with your favorite cheese.
Far easier and better.
Why would you rinse the noodles off? Why spray with oil? Sauce will never stick to them. You got rid of all the starch on the noodles.
@@lessbs I learned that from a old Italian guy when I was a manager at a Pizza/Spaghetti all you can eat buffet.
Rinsing the noodles with cold water is used to stop the cooking process, so the noodles don't turn to mush.
Spraying with olive oil enables you to place the cold dry noodles in a large covered bowl without them drying out, or sticking together.
If you don't cool the noodles the ones in the middle of the pot are still so hot you can't put your fingers into them. They will overcook.
You can simply run hot water over the noodles you want to use inside a strainer. This keeps your noodles perfectly cooked until you need them.
With a fee adjustments. Spread out the pasta more (mix in the sauce). Drop the BBQ sauce and bacon. Maybe ketchup on the glaze or marinara same as the inside. Stays italian but NO BBQ sauce

She did it just like he did except for the basil she didn't have fresh she tweaked it with garlic and additional seasonings and it turned out great the kids got a kick out of watching her put this together we all got "Dinner and a Show"❤

I will try it sometime. But the traditional method, cooking the sauce for at least 4 hours, hudge garden salad and french garlic bread is how I set the hook in my wife of 25 years. The $40 bottle of wine may have helped.😊

Agreed! I would have added sugar to some marinara on the side rather than use BBQ sauce. Sweet spaghetti is popular in Asian cuisine, and it's tasty. Just for the outside caramelization anyway!

Speaking as a professional CHEF, this recipe looks outrageous & honestly I bet it tastes amazing. I would like to see how the pasta turned out. I would have seasoned the meat when he made the well to put the dry noodles in as well as the additional seasoning once he closed beef log & wrapped it in bacon. I learned how to make spaghetti sauce from my Italian neighbor and she makes the ABSOLUTE BEST ! The way she taught me is a lot simpler, not to mention I was lost when you added BBQ sauce ..,but to each his own!!!!!

The spaghetti all stuck together! This is a sham. I’m a chef and have been cooking for 52 years. This is a pure waist of meat, sauce and cheese and pasta. Why someone would do that is beyond me. DON’T DO THAT!

I made this but I changed it up a little. I used 3lbs of hamburger and made a huge meatball instead of just plain hamburger. I omitted the bacon and bbq sauce and rub, but I added uncooked sweet Italian links and stuffed them inside. I added a little marinera on top before I wrapped up the aluminum foil. It was unbelievably delish!

But unfortunately, though I love BBQ sauce, salt & pepper & bacon, (I love bacon), I don't care for any of those in spaghetti. But I think it would be good with some more marinara or spaghetti sauce on the outside & maybe some more Parmesan & mozzarella cheese.

Amazing recipe, but have to agree w/others in that the spaghetti noodles looked caked or not cooked all the way. The color may be due to the sauce, but I would've "layered" The noodles and sauce to make sure they were covered well.
The big surprise was adding the Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce (my personal fav). I was a little stunned at the amount of what looked like kosher salt and a rub that I suspect had a lot of salt as well. I get that hamburger needs to be seasoned but I'm thinking that could be decreased. Taste, like art, is subjective to the consumer and cook.
It was a huge chunk of meat that could've fed a family for a while, consider that he's specifying the size for a party. I'm still a little skeptical about fitting that into an oven. 😊
I hope that he is feeding others with what he made, I would hate to see that go to waste, not unless he can finish it by himself.
