Dice 1 lb chicken thighs For the batter: 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce 3 tsp organic honey 2 egg whites 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/3 cup cornstarch Pinch of pepper Mix batter and chicken well. Deep fry until deep golden brown and drain on paper towel. Sauce: 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce 2 garlic cloves 1/2 tsp Pepper 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper Simmer until thickened and add chicken Mix until well coated and turn off heat Garnish with green onion and serve with white rice.
Such a good recipe! I can recommend adding finely chopped ginger (if it's an ingredient you enjoy) to the chicken preparation Adds a lot of flavors to an already really good meal! 😊

I make my chicken and pork just like this but I add a little bit of ginger to give it a more Asian flavor. I actually make it like the sweet and sour and put the onions bell peppers and pineapple in it. Everyone loves the way I cook it. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us it gives me a little more ideas what to do. ❤ As for the rice if you don’t have a rice cooker, I always use Jasmine rice for all my Asian recipes. One of my Thai friends told me that Jasmine rice has to be cooked a certain like in the restaurant. She said to wash it very well, then half and half each of rice and water, bring to a hard boil, take it off, cover it with a lid, turn the stove down to number three or low to simmer, and put it back on to simmer about 10 minutes and take it off and let it sit for 5 minutes. The rice comes out nice and fluffy and not sticky.

I made this and the raves I received from my family was tremendous ! Absolutely ! Fast, easy, and tasty as well as a crowd pleaser. I did get the Bundt pan from Amazon and 5 cups of uncooked well rinsed Jasmine rice in the rice cooker (please season the rice well) fits perfectly in the pan flip on a pizza stone big enough to dress the chicken around it. 2 x around for a luncheon I used a little regular soy sauce for more flavor with ginger, cummin, garlic powder and marinated it overnight and followed up with chef’s instructions for more seasoning before frying and keep oil at 325/350 degrees . Helpful hints- add chicken tenders for more than 5 servings , use a cake server to slice and portion chicken neatly at the same time while taming greedy guests with class there’s always 1 or 2 to act like it’s their personal platter and ruin others a chance to enjoy your delicious and beautiful dish, remove extra moisture from chicken before mixing egg whites,honey (have plenty on hand),soy sauce it’s easier to gauge the amount of baking power for consistency, for a little hot and spicy add a drop or 2 of “Hot”Sesame seed oil to the honey ,soy sauce n garlic glaze taste before adding the chicken n adjust by frying a few pieces to the sauce first. Overall, prep time was about 1/2 hr. Start Rice first , marinate is optional, cut away extra fat from thighs is recommended. Cooking time to serving 1.5 hrs tops. And enjoy it with family and friends! Thank you Chef!

I tried this for dinner today and OMG!! It's SO good! I used honey with ginger instead of plain honey. I also used black sesame seeds. I don't know that I'll ever buy (this) out again.
I've been doing this for years but I always mixed ingredients first then coated the chicken. As I don't like having the chicken sit out while assembling and mixing the ingredients. I have that ready first then I'll bring my cut chicken out to mix in the coating/batter. Just trying to be safer. Glad you found a recipe that's a keeper. It is.

TO EVERYONE WHO HAS NEGATIVELY COMMENTED. Please watch and learn how to cook the food, then you can do it your way (however clean); don't criticize the good gentleman but instead, thank him! Another thing, they won't show you everything that they do, such as washing hands etc because the video would then be too long, and they also edit etc. When I'm cooking for my GUEST, family and myself, I wash my hands, pots, and dishes and clean up as I go along BUT, I DON'T EVER USE GLOVES! My guests for the past 57 years have NEVER got sick and neither my family nor I. MY MOM, SISTERS OR ANY OF MY RELATIVES HAVE NEVER USED GLOVES WHEN PREPARING AND COOKING FOOD! I've worked at a Chinese restaurant for a while and all I would say is "You don't know what you all are eating" and I'm very sure that EVERYONE OF YOU has eaten and continues to eat at Chinese restaurants! I also have friends who're working at other types of restaurants so I do hear what goes on in those kitchens, so please stop the criticizing and do it your CLEAN way! Btw, I would truly like to know, how many of you, do use gloves when cooking!

@@Lopez-sw2xf He actually washed them cuz I was looking at that too after he dropped that gooey chicken in the oil. When he cut and came back they were clean and even looked a little wet.
@@Lopez-sw2xf Yeah he did. At least it was the last of it so he wont be using it again. But he seems like a clean cook so maybe he wipes everything down after or not, who knows. When I make things like that I usually try to keep one hand clean to avoid contamination. Hopefully he's more careful when cooking for others but thats why Im not a big fan of gloves. It gives people a false sense of security. During the height of Covid Id see people wear gloves, touch everything, then touch their face or phone and I'd be thinking "you just defeated the whole purpose of the gloves".
Ehh, not everybody has the newest and fanciest utensils. Cooking videos should be primarily catered towards people trying to learn some new shit right? The best, newest, utensils aren't always necessarily a good thing lol.

I've been doing this for years but I always mixed ingredients first then coated the chicken. As I don't like having the chicken sit out while assembling and mixing the ingredients. I have that ready first then I'll bring my cut chicken out to mix in the coating/batter. Just trying to be safer. Glad you found a recipe that's a keeper. It is.

Another thing, they won't show you everything that they do, such as washing hands etc because the video would then be too long, and they also edit etc.
When I'm cooking for my GUEST, family and myself, I wash my hands, pots, and dishes and clean up as I go along BUT, I DON'T EVER USE GLOVES! My guests for the past 57 years have NEVER got sick and neither my family nor I.
MY MOM, SISTERS OR ANY OF MY RELATIVES HAVE NEVER USED GLOVES WHEN PREPARING AND COOKING FOOD!
I've worked at a Chinese restaurant for a while and all I would say is "You don't know what you all are eating" and I'm very sure that EVERYONE OF YOU has eaten and continues to eat at Chinese restaurants!
I also have friends who're working at other types of restaurants so I do hear what goes on in those kitchens, so please stop the criticizing and do it your CLEAN way!
Btw, I would truly like to know, how many of you, do use gloves when cooking!

@@Lopez-sw2xf He actually washed them cuz I was looking at that too after he dropped that gooey chicken in the oil. When he cut and came back they were clean and even looked a little wet.

@@Lopez-sw2xf Yeah he did. At least it was the last of it so he wont be using it again. But he seems like a clean cook so maybe he wipes everything down after or not, who knows. When I make things like that I usually try to keep one hand clean to avoid contamination. Hopefully he's more careful when cooking for others but thats why Im not a big fan of gloves. It gives people a false sense of security. During the height of Covid Id see people wear gloves, touch everything, then touch their face or phone and I'd be thinking "you just defeated the whole purpose of the gloves".
Ehh, not everybody has the newest and fanciest utensils. Cooking videos should be primarily catered towards people trying to learn some new shit right? The best, newest, utensils aren't always necessarily a good thing lol.
