Actually will have to pause watching for a bit - for some odd reason, I have a bunch of orders to fill! Thanks so much - again -for the shop mention. You're the best! I think my paper packs are gone again (not that I'm complaining!) so will have some more around the end of next week if anyone is interested.

Sometimes I only have time to sit and watch only half of your video, then go back later to watch the rest of it. I don't mind watching you do everything, because it's more realistic as to what is actually involved in making a journal or whatever. Keep doing what you are doing.
    Your journals are gorgeous.

As a long time seamstress, tearing the fabric gives you the straight edge, it sets it straight so that you can cut on the grain of the fabric. Not that you wash your journals but when you wash your garments after cutting the fabric on the grain there will be no bunching or pulling at the seams. So tear away Gayle it's a good thing! And I love the sound of your sewing machine Makes me pull out mine : )

Crate training is the way to go for puppies. It is not mean and they get to feeling as it is their safe place. I have done it with all my dogs and at night they go right into their crates on their own. Then everyone sleeps. :) These journals are wonderful. Love the one with the quilt as cover--so cute!

What a gorgeous selection from Carolaine. The new patterns are so cute and original.I like that you sew right on your videos. It gives me a hint of how long it will take me to do something like this, with my own items. I have sat down to make the cascade pockets, I think that the name, made from the envelopes. They don't look hard but I can't do them! My brain freezes. I think I will go to my sister's and have her help me. Thank heavens for big sis'sI have to share a dog story with you. I was setting here watching your video and I heard a far away cry of a dog. I was slightly scared and then realized it was my chihauhau that was sleeping behind my chair. That is what I get for having quiet time. LOL

I have a puppy too. He is Corgi/Australian shepherd and it is soooo like having a baby again. We don't have a fenced yard, yet, but we do have a TON of snow. I am working on shoveling a "puppy trail" because he loves to run and we chase him around the house and I think he would love to be able to run outside too. I wish you much sympathy/energy for you with your puppy. Gotta love them

Thanks, Gayle! I still don't "understand" the purpose of a "journal" without pictures. But then, some don't understand that I have a page-per-day DayTimer Book & use it everyday!! (No pictures in there! No room!!) I'm waiting for the "bell to ring in my head" telling me I understand!! In the mean time, I'm collecting things to make & go into one when I finally get it!! Then I'll be like you ... & can't stop!!!

I know how to hit the button if I'm short on time. It's super easy. Besides, as a child I would fall asleep listening to my mom sewing. She made all our clothes. Boy have times changed. Now kids, people fall asleep listening to electronics. Give me a sewing machine anytime. ❤🤣

I have a “no iron” tip for creased/wrinkled fabric which is I give the fabric a little mist from my spray bottle then place the fabric on some paper towel and smoosh it flat. Poof, the wrinkles are gone, I didn’t have to bust out the iron and board and the fabric dries quickly! Xo

Hey Gayle! I see you have some beautiful coffee dyes in this video! And some other nice things as well. Will be looking at Carol's Etsy for sure, but really would like to know how to get papers like that on my own, too.
Journals are looking really nice. I really love how you bring it all together with all the ephemera and stencils and other things. They really turn out so pretty.
I get weepy, too, if I don't get enough sleep. And grouchy. Let's just face it, I'm just not a fun person to be around at that time. And no, Mr. H definitely doesn't like me at those times at all.
Oh, I see you are going to be using the green vellum pockets I sent you again. They are really nice. That was such a great nice find, I will say. I'm going to be really sad when they are all gone, too. I really like that you can see what's inside and there's that touch of flowers on them, too.
Well, I think I'm coming down with something again. It doesn't take too long working in the schools. And the flu is going around. Oh, I so hope this isn't that! Sigh...
Well, girl, I'm signing off on this video for tonight. I bet you are glad to be in Arizona right now with this storm coming in. We are finally going to get some substantial stuff here in PA, too. Crazy weather...last weekend it was almost 60 F and this week, it's in the 20s. So, you enjoy your time in the warmer part of the country this weekend. Have a great Saturday walking the Creativation floor and seeing all the newest crafting goodies. As well as helping with the Blue Fern's booth! Say hello to those there from all of us here! God Bless! Sue

Hi Gayle watching your video and loving it as usual. I wanted to let Carol know I really like the new patterns power my favorite but I did grow up in the sixties.

I remember when our puppy got super excited. We would put her between us on the couch, and hold her shoulders down and say, Calm down! It did help. They have so much energy.

I just watched her Quick Pocket Journal tutorial... uses 1 piece of 12x12 paper. Neat.

its very natural for puppies (and untrained dogs) to resist the leash. Before putting the leash on get some of his energy out by playing or running him around in the back yard. You can attach the leash or a small rope and have him drag it around. If he gets stuck he will let you know and you can release him. He should always be supervised when the leash is attached. You will want to leash train him asap as you know he is growing by leaps and bounds and the bigger and stronger he gets the more difficult the task will become. Also, 1-2 steps walking forward on the leash is a big step forward. Stop there, put away the leash and bring it out later.. Repeat. He will get it. This breed is known for their obedience. we humans can get a bit impatient. :)
