Thank you for this wonderful pattern. My cousin wanted crocheted found placemats for her birthday. None of the other patterns were giving me the look and stability I wanted. This one does! Thank you again.
I would just like to thank you for making this tutorial. I'm starting out late in life crocheting. I did it when I was a girl but not in the last 40 or so years & I've only been doing it again for about a year now but there's so much more than I remember. I LOVE this stitch & I've never seen it before. It solves so much. Thank you again!
Hi Beth. Thanks! Crocheting can be so much fun, nice that you started it again. Good to hear that you like the stitch and that I have inspired you with it. Have fun!!
Excellent pattern, and an interesting new stitch. Thanks also for revealing the mysteries of staggered increase which has long been a source of confusion for me until now! I've finished one placemat and it looks fantastic.
Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou.. I’ve been trying to buy placemats that aren’t pale straw colour or have an orangey tinge forever and that don’t cost a bomb.. these are perfect.. you’ve made my day 😊
Oh I see you are right, there is a piece missing at the end of round 7. You start that round with 3 ldc and at the end of that round you have 2 stitches left, in those 2 stitches you make a ldc. Together with the 3 ldc at the beginning you have 5 stitches between the 2 ldc in 1 stitch. Your stitch count at the end should be 70. Thank you for noticing💜, I adjusted it!
@@2LOOPZcrochet also, question on round 7. This is my first time crocheting so it takes me a bit to understand in writing. The beginning, is it 1 ldc in the first 3 ldc or 3 ldc in each of the first 3 ldc?
Would you please add the video mark when you change the row, especially when to finish the last round? As a beginner I need to rewatch it so many time before I can follow. It would be easier if you can mark your video as above. Thank you so much for your tutorial and nice pattern.
Thanks for the feedback and the support! Never thought about it, but I can imagine that it is nice to have a better overview as a beginner. I'm going to figure out how to do that for my future videos.
That could be due to several things. It could only be the beginning, then it will be fine as you continue working, but it could also be that you accidentally increased more than necessary. You can count your stitches to see if you are still on the right track. In the 1st round you will have 10 stitches and in the 2nd you will have 20. Mark the 1st stitch of the round so you know when you have completed it. Hope this helps!
This is an interesting pattern for placemat thank you for sharing it! When you want to continue the rounds, do we make another single stitch between the double crochet?

Good of you to ask! It is 1 ldc in each of the first 3 stitches, so 3 in total.

Hi Dianna, the link to the pattern is in the description box or use the following link: 2loopz.com/round-placemat/
This is an interesting pattern for placemat thank you for sharing it! When you want to continue the rounds, do we make another single stitch between the double crochet?
Thanks! No you just work the next linked double crochet directly in the first stitch without a chain in between. Good luck!
Woow thank you , glad i found this
😍
