    I hear the term 'urban commuter' all the time when a bikes top speed is only 29mph. No disrespect to NIU, but that speed is just too dangerous in today's traffic. My NIU NGT will do 50 and that's just barely enough to feel safe.

      Its nothing to do with NIU unfortunately. All L1e bikes are limited to 28mph. Obviously other models like the Horwkn EK3 can go nearer 60mph
