I had the old Ricky Carmichael rc bike. I took off the lean bars and that would pop right up with 5 min of practice. That thing now is 6s 70+ mph brushless.
I'm so glad Losi put this bike out
When it falls, keep giving it throttle and quickly go back and forth with the steering. You'll get it to spin and lift

I think a more streamlined boot cover/saver thing, like an extended bash plate might stop the feet grabbing. Riding on softer watered tracks with ruts in them would be so cool without the lean bars.

i really like it. 600 is too steep. gotta get this think closer to 400. maybe 450. 600 dollars gets you so much in the RC world in regards to cars/trucks. i just dont see this thing taking off at that price point.

Not too bad with out the bars on the side. They honestly don’t bother me though. More than not having them installed, I’d rather see some shorter ones made just so the foot doesn’t catch.

Someone will eventually resin-print some clear lean bars. Or come up with another way to add a skid that is not as noticeable. You can bet money on it. We have some excellent 3D printer engineer guys out there that can work magic. I already have one Idea that I want to try to our shop to sample Losi Promoto MX.

I'm not sure how people would race these on a track side by side with training wheels and not constantly get tangled up. On the other hand, trying to race without them would be a nightmare for the marshals that have to constantly run around resetting them. 😅

Nice vid Greg. I noticed that when you removed the broken piece, it still looked ok. There's a product that I use that's better than crazy glue, you may have heard of it it's called "Q-bond" it comes with a very powerful glue, black powder for plastics, and grey powder for metal repairs. I think it's great to repair RC plastic parts in case of an emergency.

One tip I use on my bikes... get some stiff nylon rod say 3mm (like brushcutter line) and use that as a lean bar. Bend it rearward so it doesn't catch.. Doesn't look too out of place and does a great job of keeping the back wheel on the ground if you tip over hence throttling out and away.
Plenty of RC race bike action on YT to see what I mean.

If it was raced on a track with multiple bikes on an actual Motocross style track having the bars off is the way to go. It appears as though with the throttle pinned regardless of orientation other than oaying on its side already it can get upright fairly easily and keeo going. So on a race setting the throttle will be oinned most of the time which would allow for aggressive handling and actaully should be the optimal method for driving it in lue of the need for forward momentum to keep upright. Cant wait for some.organized ravesnto take place with these things

Just an idea for gluing the Holeshot to the 2-piece wheel. Instead of using the usual thin CA glue, use a thicker CA that takes longer to dry. Put the tire in the wheel, but NOT in the 'grooves', and screw the wheel together. Next, using a Q-tip (or similar), lay down the CA into the groove on one side of the wheel, coating the bottom, and both sides, and then 'pull' that side of the tire into the groove. Once that side is done, repeat the process for the other side. Once both sides have dried, do a light coating, using the usual thin CA, around the edges of both sides, essentially "sealing" the tire & wheel together. Just an idea worth trying. 🤙🏼

They put the bars on for a reason. They’ve tested it without before selling it to you. I’ll keep mine on.

If you could make the lean bars from clear acrylic to try and make them invisible, wouodnt be so bad to have them installed

You could put some holes in the piece that got broke and reinforce it then stick it with a good epoxy and it should be good as a spare.😂

What a great combo vid... repair job (much easier than expected), no lean bar demo.and tire/wheel options. Thanks Greg, always enjoy the content! As you said, LOSI really did a great job. I'm curious what they do to improve on what seems like perfection in the future.

reducing the price would be a start .....................

@@raymondo162 It may come down in time, to be fair, it's pretty revolutionary. I see a lot of RC's that seem way outta their price range, but that comes with the hobby. Right now this bike has no real competition if any, so they can reap the rewards.

@@raymondo162that would be nice, but, I haven’t seen a decrease for popular Traxxas rc cars. This is going to be in demand for awhile. I think this is the cheapest it’s going to be for a few years.

A company that puts in the work to develop what looks to be a “game changer”. Should be rewarded financially. I hope they sell 10 times the quantity they forecasted and develop more versions. GP? WSBK? If they are what they are appearing to be I do t think we will see the prices come down anytime soon.

Def use the slow set CA glue and not thin CA glue or getting those tires to sit nice will be very tough!

it'll work fine if youre an accomplished rc bike racer. most people wont be able to drive it like that without a lot of road rash.

someone will make a holder for gates for these things..... something that can hold the bikes upright and then gates that can drop to start a race.... omg

Looks like this plate is totally repairable by reinforced plastic welding. Need some slow-mo for the real cool.😊

Being that it is plastic and a weak point, someone may want to CNC a piece of aluminum for this piece.
