Both teams have a lot of things to fix. Ottawa too many turnovers and Montreal needs their oline to protect better.

Fortunately Ottawa is playing with a second rate backup, not their starter. Their fans shouldn't worry yet.

Fajardo is a back-up QB. He had one good season as a starter, and a couple really good seasons as a back-up QB

He played well when a defender wasn’t in his face 1 second after the snap

I love all the Fajardo haters on here. I was told this guy couldn’t throw a good ball past 30 yards. If you watch the highlights, you can see that he can. Imagine allowing him to use his strength, have more protection then he ever did last year, and him being healthy would turn into success. Fajardo is one of the best QBs in the league and I have a feeling he is going to get more and more comfortable. Watch out the rest of the league of this is reality. He is also in a weaker division, which will allow him to play more freely and less stress.

@@kellyy3961 ok which team is going to take them out? Redblacks looked bad in this game and I don’t trust both of their QBs to do anything. The Ti-Cats have Bo and Evans who again I wouldn’t trust because on has lost a step and the other hasn’t proven that he can be trusted with leading a team. If Montreal was in the west, I would agree with you but they’re not. They will easily, in my opinion end in second behind the Argos.

very good game and I think he has adjustments to make and the Redblacks defense played well but I think at the receiver level I would like to see Quartney Davis in the lineup than Abrams and he has adjustments to make at the level of the receiver attack on the ground but in 3rd try on the sneaks I would like to see Chandley Worthy in a jet sweep movement so that the sneak of the quarter is less predictable with Fajardo or Evans and it is my opinion watching the match but I can not wait to see what adjustment will be made to the quarterback protection level in Jason Maas' playing selection.

  • @Phidig21

I think the alouettes can score more points on offense but I liked Mack and Julien Grant and Mayala on some passing concepts but Spieker and Abrams didn't have a reception in the game and I would have liked to see Jason Maas go for some passes. short passes to the running back to open up the aerial game and some concepts but the defense played well tonight but the Tiger Cats in 2 weeks might be a tough game.

    I got some questions:
    1. How was the first play form scrimmage, not a fall start?
    2. Why are both sets of lineman so tiny?
    3. Why are the o and d linemen so far apart?
    4. Why is the field so big?
    5. Why is the end zone so big.
Why is the goal post in to end zone?
    6. Why is the goal post on the middle of the goal line?
    7. Why are three wide outs behind the Q?
    8. Why and how is playing without your helmet a penalty?

9 teams 8 QB changes which one will mesh with their new team the fastest. Arbuckle threw into double coverage so often the coach balled him out. Hopefully Masoli will be back for Ottawa and he will play well.Often times in the cfl we have to develop young QB’s because the cfl doesn’t have millions to pay our players.I love the cfl because the players love playing in the league and believe or not there are some very good players on both sides of the border and because there has to be at least 6 Canadians on the field all the time it makes the game that much more interesting.

It's sad to see that Fajardo will spend another season running for his life. He got a raw deal in Saskatchewan with 2 seasons in a row with terrible o-lines. The worst in the league. Record-breaking bad. There were a lot of preseason o-line injuries in 2021, but he would have been done every bit as well as his MOP 2019 season if they hadn't skimped on o-line personnel - hanging him out to dry.

    • @mattt2277
      @mattt2277 ปีที่แล้ว +2

He doesn't help his own situation though. He's got one move (press B to spin) and holds the ball too long at times. If you see a blitz, you gotta check your hot routes

Arbuckle suffers from the same bad philosophy as Bo Levi Mitchell. Long ball, long ball, long ball. An offence must show patience and grind out first downs not throw long ball interceptions. Time for a new coach or general manager for the stampeders. No wonder they have poor attendance at the games in Calgary!
