- Chris Rigg had a great season at Sunderland, mustering eight starts and 21 appearances in total. Nothing two goals in the process. He ended the season called up for the England U17 Euros squad and flew out to Cyprus for the tournament once the season ended.
Rigg still had a one game suspension to serve from a previous red card, so sat out the opening group win against France. He returned to Captain the side tonight as part of a Central Defensive Midfield pair along Ollie Harrison of Chelsea.
Whilst England were soundly beaten, largely due to some poor defending, Rigg himself had a tidy game. He misplaced only one pass and won all his ground duels but was unable to impose himself on the game to any great degree. After 70 minutes and England 4 - 1 down, he was sacrificed as a substitute to chase the game. - กีฬา
Thanks for that. I never thought of Rigg as a CDM though, more a CM/ACM.
Englands defending, especially down the right side, was woeful though.
Yes the back line were terrible
Well done Chris Rigg son safc are proud off you

Probs for the key frame editing to highlight rigg. That’s the difference with you. Attention to detail 🙌🏼
Ahhh there's someone who knows how long it takes. Yes. The call outs following Rigg on screen are all down manually by key frame. Good to have someone notice things like that. Thank you so much.
Could he be the answer to our CDM woes? You said its his preferred position, I thought he was a number 8
