- this drastically sped my my editing time in premiere pro for longer form, documentary style work. using transcriptions in premiere is something I did not think I would ever do, but alas, here I am blazing through a lot of footage in a new way. love it.
I know davinci resolve also does transcriptions, you can probably do something similar there. maybe I will look into it, but for now I prefer to edit in premiere, and grade in resolve. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
At first I really thought this was going to be another "hey i can delete words to save time cutting" video, but MAN the ability to copy and paste from one sequence to another is game changing. Thanks for this!
Keep up the great work.
Thank you thank you :)
I gotta say man... I've been really impressed with your channel. Your videos are nothing but value. They're aesthetic and clean without being over-edited with GFX and intros and music, etc... It's like a breath of fresh air. Good shit.
Hey thanks so much Brendan! That means a lot :)
I was skeptical about whether or not I would get anything out of this video, but I can see that this would dramatically improve my entire workflow. A lot of times I get frustrated recording and messing up talking head parts, because I know it'll add tons of time to the edit. Editing like this would really allow me to mess up a ton of times until I get it right then quickly find the good take. Pretty sick. I haven't seen this before. Keep knocking out these to the point/straightforward/no bullshit/helpful vids and this channel will clearly go places. Cheers.
Hey thanks so much. Definitely speeds things up. Also one thing I do now when I’m recording myself is if I mess up a couple times, I’ll clap loudly afterwards so I can see it in the waveform so I know I can skip ahead to the last clap.
For similar reasons as you, I’ve avoided text-to-edit. I appreciate the perspective you highlighted; it resonates with me.
It is actually amazing! Saved me so much time.
I have a few doc style interviews coming up and I am definitely going to try this! Thank you Bagel!

Almost scrolled past this as I thought it wouldn’t be applicable bc I’m in DR but seeing the note in the description and the comment about how you edit in A and grade in DR was already a big takeaway. Never crossed my mind to do both Vs full switch. I’m gonna see how this could be applied in DR.
Thanks for another great video, sharing your insights 🙌
Glad you didn’t skip it! Lemme know how well it goes in resolve. I think it works pretty much the same. I have to test.
Commenting so the rest of the editors can see this in their TH-cam homepage.
I want to figure out my exact resolve workflow now
:) I think you can do the same in resolve.
Again, this is dope !!!
Thank you :)
Dude amazing video overall, but PANCAKING THE TIMELINE. Genius, thank you.
Been pancaking for years. So crucial. You can also drag clips from one timeline to another. Great for placing b roll.
Yes! Definitely a great addition to my workflow, thank you@@BlaineWestropp1
Sick
I recently fully switched to Davinci but I miss some Premiere features. This would massively speed up my edits.
I believe you can do similar if not the same in resolve.
@@BlaineWestropp1 Indeed I was curious and looked it up after making that comment. Going to play around with it today after a shoot. Good info 👍
Thanks a lot, man
:)
For the algorithm 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
😂😂
good stuff
Thank you. Love it. Really sped things up for me.
Makin pancakes! 🥞
Want to go to reunion and get some pancakes when I get off the phone with delta? 😂
Lost between Adobe and Davinci..another lost soul. Thank god i'm not the only one(:
I am between the 2 for very specific reasons. I could see a full switch happening but not quite yet. Maybe you feel the same?
@@BlaineWestropp1 I am for being a slave of After Effects and having waaay to many Premiere and AE Plugins. It's fine for me. Got used to it by now, although it would be nice to have everything in one place. For Video at least. Photoshop and Lightroom is a diffeent story.
As Adobe has been and is still standars for a lot of Studios, the mountain of plugins makes sense.
I will probably keep it that way for now(:
And even better, you're gonna make Adobe videos too🙌🙏😅
Yep I feel you. For me, it is mostly that I can edit lightning fast in premiere. Insanely fast. There are also some tools and UI/UX that I think are better in premiere. Definitely have some Adobe videos in my mind. I round trip from pr to DR back to pr a lot and a lot of people ask about that.
@@BlaineWestropp1 True, depending on where you started you'll probably always have an edge on one vs the other.
Or you get confused with specific shortcut(try to keep them identical), workflow, when switching around.
Premiere absolutely allows for a faster workflow imo. You got everything in one tab, without having to jump from cut, to edit, to color...
Your personal reasoning behind switching back and forth is definetely interesting. More so if you make an interesting video out of it and no:"why i switched from...to...and back"
But as i binge watched all of your videos i know that's not gonna be the case.
The "one scene shot 20 different ways" video is insanely good.
I feel like people sometimes underestimate the power and importance of lighting and gathering experience. This is such a great way to learn.
Commenting so I don't get lost in the sauce during edits

So this is how you’ve been making 5 videos before I’ve made 1 😢
Hehe. Hurry up!
sooooo much faster
I love it
must be nice to make videos in english, doesnt work in my language
Oh no! I hope they update soon.
