Sorry to hear about your predicament. I used to be leased to a company for many years and had a super haul from where I live to Louisiana that grossed 5.00 a mile for all miles and your special co that your talking about sent their salesman in and offered them one half the rate and was told to get off their property and not come back. Shipper said he didnt want some cheappo outfit hauling their 1 million dollar machines. Youll do ok, but were in a terrible trucking economy right now so expect it to be lean trucking times. Take care, Bill
At the end of the day, companies don't care if you live or die, more or less feed your family. They are criminal and the whole industry is corrupt nightmare. Good on you speaking your mind. Put yourself first bro, fuck the haters and bs.
Bro ran flat bed without a tarp?! Ha! Bruh wants his cake and eat it too. Takes fuel cost out of the rate before he considers changing his driving style, or his equipment. He never does wrong, but all these companies are terrible when the only common denominator in it all is ak... weird...
As a owner operator that’s pays your own fuel a and truck notes you gotta go where the money is at even if you haul for 1000000000 companies don’t matter and f what people say hustle and ride until them wheels fall of bro let’s teach this new generation of truckers what trucking really is not this pu$$y shit they trying to do
Welcome to being a lease operator. No matter where you go it's always going to be the same, these companies have it dialed in and will make money off you and leave you for dead with a long line of more suckers ready to fill your shoes.
I really have enjoyed your content. I was a driver in the Vietnam War and when it was over, I ended up working for Caterpillar making diesel truck end engines in Mossville Illinois. I always thought if I’d stayed in trucking I would have follow your example. So I’m really sorry you’re struggling. My advice is stay focussed and continue chasing your dream. Best wishes.
Thank you for your service! My father was a marine in Vietnam. Multiple myeloma cancer got him from the agent orange and he was in camp lejeune for 10 months he passed at 75yrs old. Good man and God bless sir
I feel like I was a bit too harsh on your last video about negotiating rates etc. Hopefully I didn't come off like a complete dick my bad. I've been watching since you first got the XL and know you ain't no spring chicken you've been working these roads for years now. you really had some good points in the video man. We're all out here just trying to make a living and put down them miles.
Maaaaaaan just keep it pushing. It's always gonna be something especially if you're doing good. I've been watching your channel back when you were pulling containers and you had the black hood on the classic. I wish you the best bro-ham and I'll keep watching your channel.
The crappy market rates don't help with percentage pay, more trucks than loads available. Customers trying to cut back on cost gets tossed back to us drivers. I contract for a large reefer company, people will always need to eat to survive. I get paid flat mileage rate no matter what the load pays
Landstar, is paying 65% and the average Load, is less than 2.10 per mile, and there load Board, is chalked full of High Priced Fake Loads, that don't really exist, it's a Terrible time in trucking.
No Judgement about you leaving a company to find a better one bro. You got to do what’s best for your family. May God Bless you in Jesus Christ Name Amen.
America thrives on division. I have been parked since February because, I refuse to run my truck for those cheap rates. If you’re always hauling freight that puts you one breakdown away from bankruptcy, STOP! Especially if you own your rigs outright. Get a local job until things get better, and ignore all the hater’s. No one can knock you for trying. And all them paperpushers in the office that don’t have a pot to piss in… they’ll find out one day just like the ones at Convoy.
They just called me yesterday about bringing my truck over and hauling camper trailers with a 53ft stepdeck...I told them to holler back in January but I don't know now...I take advice seriously and I appreciate your video and I'm second guessing until I see a change in the rates
It's better if you have your own Trailer. Cause when I was there. The trailers were trash And if you don't catch on They are not gonna help you And no one communicate.
Good Luck with the next journey. You aere very articulate in the reason, we got it, it sucked! You will succeed in any and all adventures you take on. Your young, ambitious and talented. Keep your head held up high, you are so better off then many, you own the truck and have experience! Keep us updated, lets grow this channel, we all support you!
I went from owner operator to driving a dump truck as a company driver. The market is just trash right now. Been watching for a long time and I wish you the best! If you like flatbed, I've heard good things about Tennessee Steel Haulers. Never been there myself though.
First off you need your own trailer, second the rates suck right now! It’s a struggle for us all just to keep above water, hopefully it will turn around soon. Good luck in your next venture 👍🏻
You have to find one agent in any company or two no more than 3 and stick whith them if they have freight if u can do this you will be ok just because your agent is a littel slow one week don’t leave them find a good agent that don’t lie and treats you good and stick whith through the good and bad help them whith the cheap loads to and you will do ok
Bro my hats off to you for doin your Home work on these companies.. keep dumping them bro .. eventually you will find what make you happy.. I do the same do me wrong and ain't making no money I keep it moving .. Crap companies are a dime of dozen.. but professionals driver that loves what they do are hard to find .. good luck bro ..

Truck drivers have the most at risk: equipment, safety, time away from family, in a shady industry. I tell every driver to jump around until they find a good spot.
Maybe it is time to do something else. Every one is complaining about the same thing. Either tough it out until it gets better or totally leave and do something else
Heavy haul wise I couldn’t really tell you I mean it just depends on who you know in those big company’s if you know someone in there that Dispatchs that can help you out with loads that’s the best way
One broker told me anyone giving $3 mile isn't going to be in business long. I believe the brokers are racing to the bottom too. Everyone is burning each other. Those brokers are going to get to the point were they will have no one pulling for them just the desperate ones and they will go bankrupt. It's going to get real ugly for brokers too.
🤦 I was just looking into Bennett was starting to wonder why I didn't see many videos by actual owner operators leased to them...... I'm at a dedicated carrier that pays good except loads have disappeared It's dead .... I too am stuck with a dash cam which ain't a problem... The problem is I'm babysat now every speed limit sign no matter what....
It's your truck but you have to put bennetts camera in your truck (probably driver facing too...she oot!)...bennett treating you like you're their beach! ATLAS...that's where you are at.
i know who you are talking about he is very smug and under minding I was gonna go there because of you. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANY ONE THAT SATISFACTION OF SAYIN THEY FIRED ME NOR SEE ME FAIL JUST NOT GONE HAPPEN
what makes it bad for drivers are you guys who haul freight for1.85. When you agree to do that then you are put in a data base as a sucker much like telemarketers use to scam people. We have never ever hauled anything under 7.72
Hey brother, best of luck with your new journey. If it's what we discussed in TX, I hope it works out well for ya. Keep ya head up and them wheels rollin.
I can not find a decent spot as a company driver and watching you get treated like garbage definitely does not give me confidence to become an owner op. Maybe you can find a good dedicated run on your own. A Owner op buddy of mine has a run from Fargo to Minneapolis 5 days a week he is home every night... those gravy runs are out there. Idk
Yea you need the tools for the job ramps the right trailer if you don't wanna tarp flatbed ain't for you but you gotta do what you have to landstar and Bennett
I work there at Bennett. I like you to say those agents have nothing but cheap loads. I was told by 1 engine 1 time. Trying to get 250 a mile that somebody would do it for 175 a mile. But I got sick in Fort lauderdawent to the hospital for 15 days. After I got my phone, call them and let them know that I was medically Quitting, haven't heard nothing from them. But daily express. A company that I don't work Wat least twice a week. They give me a call to see how I am. But whatever you do. be safe out there.
Meanwhile I just talked to a CRST driver who showed me the crst load board and those guys are getting $4.10 a mile contracted flatbed freight from Ohio to Bristol Connecticut..... $3.80 from Indianapolis to Charlotte ..... 🤔 Bennett can't get those numbers You got to be s******* me That's like saying Superman can't change his own tire....
Don't keep going thru the same thing if you made enough money just go out and get your own authority and put them in your back pocket lease you will have more control I hope things work out I parked my rig soon as thing get better
