In this episode, still frustrated with the lack of power steering and a few days to cool off, I decided to tackle it again and eliminate all the possible causes with positive results. Then I decided to take the time to finish what I started and install the gaskets in the sleeper tail lights, correct the air lines for the trailer and permanently install the diamond plate deck plate. Little things that are taking us one step closer to the completion of this project
Enjoy watching the "little by little" progress of this Peterbilt 359 project that's nearing completion and the next #ProjectSnowman, a Kenworth W900A tribute truck to the one used in Smokey and the Bandit and the one after that a 1979 Kenworth K100 cabover that I’m planning to build up like the one used in the trucking movie High Ballin’ with Jerry Reed and Peter Fonda.
I know a little about a lot but not an expert in anything … just doing the best I can, learning as I go ... I do all my own stunts

I know these are older videos, but a quick tip when cutting out notches etc, drill the corners first instead of having a square corner, itll prevent cracking from the corners, love your videos

Glad to see the power steering sorted out. I had a poppet valve issue of my own on a modern 13 letter shit spreader. Changed the box, steering wheel would only go 1 turn lock to lock, had to Jack it up, get the weight of the axle and the poppets open up when you crank it lock to lock. Boom! 3 1/2 turns either way. Can't wait for snowman!

Congrats on getting the power steering working, but I have to say the most satisfying part of this video was putting on the CAT fuel filter. I didn't want to say anything, but the yellow overspray on that white Donaldson filter has been driving me crazy lol

Congratulations, you followed my piece of advice and took the gearbox apart so what the problem was and made it work for you now you have a Peterbilt rig with full power steering capabilities. Now you can return to your other projects, especially project Kenworth snowman.

I used to work in a shop that built semi trailers, all aluminum trailers. The best tool we had to cut aluminum whether it be smooth sheet, diamond plate, or extruded aluminum was a corded circular saw with a 42 tooth carbide blade. The small cutting wheels tend to get too much build up on them and fly apart. Just wanted to share that with you should you end up cutting aluminum often. As always, great job on your trucks! We get snow here in Great Britain in May sometimes! that engine looks so much better, if you go to beginning of video and check how it looked before. Night and day! Great channel and love all your beautiful rigs.

9:36 little tip, if you prefill the filter with clean fuel before putting the filter on, you won't have to spend forever and a day pumping to fill it.a Plus if you start the truck and keep the rpm up so the engine won't stall,you can get by without a long bleed procedure

Should put a reinforcement plate under the deck plate and just mount your lines and pogo through the deck plate. Cleaner look. Just throw some silicone sealant on the light cord to keep road salt and water out

Great troubleshooting...but now I wonder it the old pump was ok, but the plate was 180 off... 🤔. Love the progress. Can’t wait to see the Duke!
May have been but it was passing ATF into the engine oil so was worth replacing 👍

I hate to tell you TwinStick, we got an inch of snow in NE Arizona yesterday 28 April 2021 along with rain. That deck plate pogo stick job was the cats meow. It looks 100% better and functional too. Little by Little. LOL

You said only in Edmonton does it snow in late April I lived in Wasilla Alaska for years 14 in of snow the first part of May. LOL
