In this episode, I upgrade the 6” exhaust pipes I bought off the previous owner of this truck and upgraded to the absolutely amazing 8” two-piece Lincoln Chrome pipes. I chose to go with miter (slash) cut tops with a 114” top stack length. These measure out just over 13’ from the ground which is nice as they are still “legal” being under 13’6” and will fit nicely through my 14’ shop doors. They are extremely well-built thick-walled pipes that fit together like a glove with the joint nicely hidden under the lower mount. The only downside to such quality pipes is they are a little stout and somewhat of a challenge to install by yourself … I recommend getting a friend to help you install yours.
I couldn’t be happier with the finished product … they look and sound absolutely awesome … enjoy the installation and the final result for yourself in this video. The old 3406 Cat with the Jakes on has never sounded better!
