I have been distracting myself for the past week by watching all of falcons videos while my daughter is Post-Op brain tumor removal. Thank you for helping me get thru it
INTERESTING ending. Reminds me of me when I was a newbie NOT saying these fine veteran players are, lol. How I felt when I quit early KNOWING I had no chance. Probably part emotional about it as well, lol. Thanks for these videos, Falcon. Been a rough year and a half or so, but I am coming back around. LOVING these vids continuing, we all continue to be SO grateful man. Peace.
oh and one other thing, lol. There is one cast on here with a big thing on air power, and I will come back to comment on it later lol saw it recently. Thanks again, and yeah, some interesting new "niches, themes" developing in the SC community it would appear! See you later and thx as always.
I don't know if it was JaeDong that really pioneered this style of play but what I do know is that muta stacking micro trick was absolutely invented by JulyZerg. Back then he really crushed every terran with that trick as it wasn't ever seen before. Since then terrans have adjusted and learned how to defend against it. But still even today terran players may sometimes even straight up die to mutalisks of a progamer zerg. JaeDong definitely one of the very best muta micro zergs.
Plague on your Ultralisk, imo, is far worse on the Zerg. If your Ultra is Irradiated, you can at least dive it into Terran Bio to cause splash damage on Marines/Medics/Firebats. Plague, on the other hand, leaves you with no other option other than to take it and watch your Ultra die.
I'm not sure which one does more damage to a single unit but I think it's close...plague does around 300 dmg maybe? But you're right it's much better to have irradiate on the ultra because it's AoE damage on any bio unit it charges into..and you're highly likely to have bio to charge into if the terran is making vessels.
Plague at least isn't fatal to ultralisks, so in that case, it would be better to throw the ultra into an Overlord as it has more HP than a plagued ultra, and wait for it to heal as you work with your other units. Irradiate on ultras will kill them if they have less than 300 HP, so you have to use them in combat if they aren't above 300, or make them defiler food if they're away from any terran bio. You could also throw them in an Overlord for the spell to wear off and heal, apparently Overlords don't take damage from irradiated units inside it, but other passengers will take damage. Because brood war Zerg don't have access to fast healing abilities like medics or SC2 transfusion, you're going to have to wait several minutes for the ultra to heal up to a decent amount of HP.
Interesting fight. Jaedong developed Brutalisks too late. And Terran is great, he worked to the end, betting on quantity rather than development, and won.
That moment when I hear "Hello there, Starcraft fans!" and can respond with "Hello, Falcon Paladin!" is becoming the best part of the day:-)
He's the John Madden of StarCraft.

Always gotta watch the dong
Plague takes exactly 250 HP from any unit, but high armor units take less for about 5-10 HP. Radiate takes 125 HP from any unit as well =)
Lie, plague is 295 and ignores armor, irradiate is 250 dmg and armor doesn't matter too
Last week, every day in South NY was 90+F. Now it feels like autumn.

90 Fahrenheit is like 32 Celsius ;)
Mong-Dong-Jaedong!
dong v mong ! lets go!
How is the title not Mong vs Dong 😂
For the algorithm
Монг красавчик!! Думал не вытянет…
cool
Those were the smallest Zerg armies I’ve seen in a while
Way too many lings were getting butchered for zero gain, Jaedong had to have lost like 40 zerglings for free over the course of that game.
Whats the date on this match?
aeron chair, that is all
I only clicked this video because it said DONG
DONG
90F would be about 32C
Irradiate is 266 damage plague 300
249 and 295 actually
Scraptastic indeed!
expand dong
it was great but it wasnt epic. the first ~12 minutes were pretty generic
the worst man for watch a replay!!!
Another incredible game!
