This is by far the best boxy style sweater out there. I’ve crocheted a long time. The time you have taken on your video to show different size number of stitches is great and the decrease in the sleeve is perfect. Making a bunch of these in different colours. I totally agree with you re the gauge.. I ended up trying three hook sizes, settling on a 4 mm with DK yarn. Well done-great video! 🌸
First time I crocheted a jumper. I made it in black double knitting wool. I made a few adjustments as I needed it longer and have a big bust. It has given me confidence and am now starting another in a cerise. I threaded elastic around the bottom. As so many stick out at the back. Thank you for this. This next one I will use the smallest size.thank you soo much for putting this on you tube.
Love this jumper. Very clear and easy tutorial . I did order the pattern. Can't wait to start. Watching your channel for all new tutorials. Thank you. 👍 💗 👍
Love this, definitely adding to my list for when I've finished my whips. I love dk for jumpers perfect to layer, I get far to hot in Aran or chunky. What a beautiful pattern 😍
I can't use toxic dish soap at all because of the perfumes, petrochemicals, and irritating preservatives, etc. Anyway, I will try this with my more natural dish soap, see how that works, and report back. Thank you for this great tip! ❤
I have a project page on Ravelry for what I've made, Georgia: if after the usual URL you add slash projects slash M-R slash slouchy-sweater you can see what an 80-y-o did with your simple and delightful pattern. THANK-YOU !!
Hey hun just started making this cos I love your tutorials so much, I for about half way up from the 91 o started with and decided to count the stitches and I have like 79 Omg I don’t get it the only thing I can think is I’m losing a stitch everytime I get to the end by not going in the same stitch?? So strange this has never happenend before :( have to u do it and start again 😢)
It sounds like you are accidentally decreasing at the ends of the rows like you said. Just crochet back and forth like you normal would without decreasing. Ch2 counts as a DC stitch but some people do it differently. I'm sorry for the trouble! But it sounds like you will have to go back 😢💔
You can just leave it if you want to, however it may look a little boxy around the next. If it were me, I would add a row or 2 of single crochet around the neck to neaten it up but it's up to you 🥰 experiment and see what you like! ❤
Help ! the HDC2TOG in the sleves is creating an INcrease instead of a decrease in my work ! I went back and did it again making sure i'm following the instructions precisely, still increasing ! 🤔
You are increasing if you make 2 new stitches in 1 stitch from the previous round. Maybe worth having a look on a specific hdc2tog tutorial ? There's a couple of ways to do it, so maybe a different way might help you :)
Hey, I'm from the UK too and it will say on the yarn label the meters you get in the ball of yarn 😃 I don't do grams because not all yarns weigh the same! For example, 100g of one yarn may have 200 meters, but 100g of a different yarn may only have 180 meters. I hope that helps!

I’m up to doing the scalloped neckline. Can it done without the scalloped neckline? And if so would I need to do any more rows of the single crochet?

Thank you so much for your answer, I think I had a tension problem, the second sleeve turned out all right ;)@@jeggocrochet
so the body of the sweater is double crochet and sleeves are half double crochet?
Yes 😄 in US crochet terms 👍🏼
Mine is terrible. 😭 I don't know what I did wrong.
Oh no! 😞 In what way is it terrible?? Maybe I can help 🥺
@@jeggocrochet it's enormous. I have to take the whole thing apart 😭
@@Mary-AnneDrabble did you do a gauge swatch?
@@jeggocrochet of course I didn't, just like you said we wouldn't 🙈
@@Mary-AnneDrabble😂😂😂 Aw bless you, we are determined to learn the hard way lol, I've been there too! ❤️
Hi how many balls of wall is the xl as uk sell it in grams not metres? Thanks

Ok thanks iv only ever looked at the wool weight and batck numbers. Learn something every day! Man how iv aged!
How much yarn will be needed to complete this project?
It comes up on the screen at 2:04 :)
Is this pattern in uk or us terms please 😊
US❤️
Do you knit men styles too?
Unfortunately no sorry! I just wouldn't know what I'm doing in that department 💔
