I thought I was gonna get in the one in my home country but the competition is very high since we only have one medical school I was not selected they sent me Chemistry Medicinal but I pray that I get a Scholarship to study in Zambia with the April in take or maybe in Kenya.

    Having been in this business for 30 years, 4th degree tears rarely occur, and are usually a result of an episiotomy leading to an extended tear, or a doctor who does not properly support the perineum and allow the head to deliver slowly. Most tears are minimal and heal within a short period of time. Cesareans are major surgery and carry serious risks with higher maternal mortality and morbidity.

I'll be 42 later this month...sometimes I regret the decision, although I may not have passed their accelerated program anyway... :)

    Question 2: If you don’t live on your own, do you have support from family?
    Question 3: If you are living on your own..how so? Do you work while your in school?
    I have so many other questions but these are some of the main questions that will make or break my decision in becoming a doctor..all the doctors I’ve spoken with have had family support or have lived with their parents until they were done with school and in my case..that is not possible..if you could please reply I would highly appreciate it! *Please read* i need some advice.
    I have wanted to be an Ob/gyn since I was 8. I am now 20, and a junior in college. Since sophomore year I have had lots of problems which have affected my grades. Sophomore year I was really sick, and had lots of testing to where they finally decided I needed my gallbladder removed and I did that at the end of sophomore year. Now I'm in my junior year and in November of 2018, my step dad passed away. It was an extremely hard death for me( my biological father was murdered when I was younger. Then my mom married my sisters father who passed away, and now my 3rd father figure who essential raised me from 11 and up is dead). I dont have a good GPA.
    My major GPA Is a 2.8 and my overall GPA is a 3.1. Not even close to being good for med school, but this is my dream job. I have nothing else I'm interested in. What should I do?

    I remember being 37 weeks pregnant I was about to go to a wedding in my family. I wasn't having any contractions but I felt a little weird so I decided to go to labor and delivery just to make sure everything was OK. They put me on the monitor to check me for contractions and I was not having any. They said that everything looked good and that I could go home I just remember sitting up I was drinking a Coke and all of the sudden for nurses came running in there and started yelling at me to get on my hands and knees turned side to side. I had absolutely no idea what was even going on. It happened in a split 2nd. The next thing I knew I was having an emergency c-section. It was the scariest thing that has ever happened. I'm 13 in 8th grade, about to go to High School... I've wanted to be a OBGYN since I was 10 in 5th grade...
    Now that I'm hearing about all of the studying, work, and cost. I'm not really sure if I should still do this I also applied for AP biology for 9th grade, and I'm currently taking 9th grade classes, and passed with a B.
    Am I over reacting and should just keep pushing forward or pick something else...
    Ughhh

      Divine Diana you didn’t think Med school would be hard work? It’s a tough road, but that doesn’t mean you should run away.
      You have plenty of time to make career choices tho

      Hey Diana, when I started college my freshman year, I was good until I took one class that made me question myself as well. I dropped out of classes I wasn’t confident in. Fast forward 7 years later, I decided to go back to college and get my degree. I left with a 2.7 GPA and now at a 3.5 (all A’s since coming back). Don’t give up if it’s something you’re passionate about or interested in. Your interest might change perhaps but don’t allow your grades to determine your purpose.

      Sofia Sousa Pires you cant pick your shifts unfortunately (you may have that luxury later in your career), but you rotate in the ER.. days, nights, evenings

I got microneedling with PRP done this past Monday... at about the 72hr mark I started breaking out. Is this common? How soon can I go back to my skincare regimin with acne prescriptions...etc?

    • @WhiteCoatChronicles
      @WhiteCoatChronicles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Semi Ayo depends on the rotation. For surgery it’s more one on one interaction with your Attending. For OBGYN, I’m paired with a classmate for half, and by myself for half.
